Fortnite’s latest season started off with a long wait time of around a day. Like most seasons, the servers were down for hours, and Epic had to even tweet about the extended delay. After what looked like almost a day of no Fortnite, the servers were back up online, and the map had changed massively. New POIs, new weapons, new bosses, and the best of all, new modes of transport. New Gods Summoned Across the Map
Mount Olympus – Zeus now in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
The Greek god Zeus can now be found in the new POI (Point of Interest) Mount Olympus. As expected, this new POI is filled with chests and the usual noisy guards protecting Zeus. Unlike the previous season, the new season requires you to manually start the boss fight. Defeat Zeus to get access to two mythic weapons and a new medallion called “Aspect of Speed.”
Medallions now give players special powers, and every medallion has its unique set of powers. The Aspect of Speed medallion gives players a boost to the overall speed of the character along with two super jumps. At first glance, this appears overpowered, but the rest of the medallions offer similar or better rewards.
Brawlers Battleground Features Ares, the God of War.
Next up, we have the Greek god of war, Ares himself. You can find Ares in the new POI Brawlers Battleground. Players will have to initiate the boss fight and survive a wave of guard attacks, similar to typical zombie survival mode games. Finally, Defeat Ares and his wave of soldiers to gain access to a “War Forged Assault-Rifle” and the “Aspect of Combat” medallion. For the first time in the game’s history, this medallion is meant for the aim warriors in the game. Aspects of Combat boost long-range damages and come in clutch for long-distance aim duels
Hades is hiding in the new Underworld Biome.
Another new biome, the Underworld, has been added to the map with huge movement boosts integrated into it. Dive into the translucent green water to gain air dashing abilities, which is a new addition to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. As expected, the god Hades protects the Underworld biome. Defeat him to gain access to the siphon medallion and a Mythic SMG. As the name suggests, while you equip the siphon medallion, it grants you health every time you eliminate an enemy.
Cerberus and the Grim Gate POI – Best Medallion in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5
The Grim Gate POI is probably the hottest landing spot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The Greek god Cerberus guards this overpowered POI, representing the river Styx from Greek mythology.. Just like all the POIs, visually, this new POI is magnificent and features a three-headed dog NPC to eliminate. Lastly, defeat Cerberus to gain access to a Mythic shotgun and the Agility medallion. Undoubtedly, The Agility medallion is the best item in the game at the moment as it gives you infinite zero dashes. Combine this with the new Greek weapons, and you can almost float in the air, dominating your opponents.
