Palworld and Microsoft Team Up for Speedy Xbox Console Development!

Palworld has been the talk of 2024, and major changes are incoming to the game. The Steam Store has seen many records being broken by Palworld, including entering the top 5 list of concurrent online players. With well over a million players in the game at the same time, Palworld has a huge community to cater to, and the developers are getting help from the big boys now.

Microsoft partners with Palworld

Palworld was Microsoft’s biggest third-party game launch. This feat is something that caught everyone out of the blue, including Microsoft. With the addition of Palworld to the Game Pass, Microsoft has seen a huge boost in its overall Game Pass subscriptions. Having a third-party game dominate the Game Pass list isn’t something that happens often. Microsoft clearly recognizes this and has acted quickly to ensure Palworld users are happy using their platform. Pocket Pair and Microsoft have officially partnered to ensure top-notch performance on the Xbox console.

Starting immediately, Xbox will be helping the Palworld creators by providing resources to ensure a smoother experience on the Xbox. Microsoft is confirmed to be providing Palworld with engineering resources and dedicated servers to speed up the overall development time. As of now, the experience on the console is poor, with a lot of bugs and glitches plaguing the game. PC gamers have a far smoother experience compared to Xbox users, and Microsoft wants to address that straight away.

What can Xbox users expect from this?

Xbox users will see a ton of updates being rolled out in the very near future. The game is using GPU and memory from the console in an ineffective way at the moment. Microsoft claims they will be able to sort that out with their engineering team pitching in to optimize the overall resource usage. No real useful updates have been rolled out to sort out the Xbox experience so far. The team has promised to address this with quick and speedy updates for consoles to keep up with the PC performance.

Xbox users would also be able to see a massive improvement in the visual graphics of the game soon. This partnership is primarily to bridge the major gap between the console and PC experience. Visually, PC users are way ahead in terms of 3D renders when compared to consoles. Microsoft has acknowledged this and intends to fast-track the update rollouts for visual improvements. Despite the console visuals being below par, the game managed to break the third-party game record in the Xbox Store. That alone shows the promise this game has on the Xbox Store. As long as Microsoft bridges this gap soon, they can still ride the Palworld wave before Sony kicks in.

Palworld is not an Xbox exclusive.

Sony users have been begging for updates on the Palworld launch. The developers have confirmed that the game will be available for PS5 users. Sadly, regarding the timeframe, we have all been left in the blue. PlayStation is a large user base in itself, and I’m guessing Pocket Pair wants to get everything right before making it available for PlayStation users.

The Game Pass is accessible for both Xbox and PC users. Hence, it does make sense to add an Xbox version on launch and cover all bases for the Xbox Store. Now, with the console players giving regular feedback, Pocket Pair probably plans for a perfect PlayStation release.
