Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection Announced

Imagine this: it’s 2004 and you’re just coming home from school. You hop on your PlayStation 2 or your Xbox to play Star Wars Battlefront, one of the best games to ever grace shooter genre. You select your faction, whether it’s the Rebellion or the Empire, and you start playing. You shoot blasters, fight with lightsabers, and gun down AT-AT’s with nothing but a blaster.

Fast forward a year later, and Star Wars Battlefront II comes out, and it is the best sequel to any game that came out during that time. Not only is every part of the game improved upon the original, but it also lets you play as the Clone Wars saga that saw the rise of Darth Vader and the Empire from under the Jedi’s nose.

Life was good back then, and while EA has tried (and failed) to replicate that feeling with their own rendition of Star Wars Battlefront, it just didn’t quite hit the same as their games were very microtransaction infested and very pay to win. While Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) is much more playable now than it was before, it still didn’t feel right.

But now, we don’t have to worry for a good Battlefront game to come out, because they’re bringing back the classics, remastered for modern consoles.

Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection Out On March 14
