Fortnite’s new update brings back the Tactical AR – Patch notes & Loadout guide.

Epic has managed to shake things up again by bringing back a fan-favorite gun. The Tactical AR is now available in floor loot, and players have had some mixed opinions on this gun. Apart from that, the avatar meta has completely taken over Fortnite. Players are now in love with the Airbender and the Water Bender mythics. Let’s take a look at the new gun, its stats, and everything about the new update.

Is the Tactical AR any good in Fortnite now?

Well, unlike most guns that are unvaulted, the Tactical Assault Rifle has disappointed many. As expected, Epic managed to hit the gun with some well-needed features, but there are disappointing aspects as well. The low recoil feature has been commended by almost every pro in the game. Unfortunately, the damage rate is disappointing, making this gun way weaker than the other guns available.

The War Forged AR seems to be the preferred choice amongst assault rifles. The overall fire rate has also disappointed many players, as the magazine size to damage ratio just doesn’t do any justice to the weapon. We’ll have to wait and see how Epic plans to improve the meta with the Tactical AR. As of now, with the Water Bending mythic available to players, that weapon seems to overtake the Tactical AR in almost every aspect.

Forget the Tactical AR, Avatar Mythics have completely taken over the meta.

Ever since the Avatar collab kicked in, Epic has been adding Avatar-related items into the game. As of now, four mythic items are available to players. Airbender, WaterBender, Fire-bender, and Earthbender are the four mythics available. While both Fire and Earth bending mythics are pretty awesome to use, the airbend and water bending mythics have completely changed the meta. Even the latest Tactical AR isn’t going to replace the waterbending mythic anytime soon.

As soon as players drop off the battle bus, mythic icons can be spotted on the map. Head straight towards the air bending mythic item and get a hold of it before other players can. This airbender allows for mobility and escaping from really tight situations. Once players get a hold of the Airbender, head towards the nearest waterbender drop. This mythic item is absolutely overpowered and can be stacked against each other to avoid reload cooldowns. The newly introduced Tactical AR needs medium bullets, while the waterbending mythic has unlimited ammo. Yup, you read that right! Players do not have to worry about collecting extra ammo for late game. Instead, they can focus on spamming water projectiles and hitting their shots. Clubbing both these mythic items is what the game is all about right now.

The waterbending mythic does allow players to heal up when in water. This feature allows players to pick up an extra weapon instead of carrying around health items. Both mythics, along with a sniper, can dominate lobbies, allowing for multiple plays. As of now, the game is in a really healthy state, and hopefully, we can expect more successful similar collabs in Fortnite.

Have your say!
