Chapter 5 Season One of Fortnite is expected to finish in the coming weeks. To be honest, the season started out very strong with the introduction of multiple game modes. However, as months passed by, secondary modes such as Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing struggled to keep up with the initial hype. Lego Fortnite had a peak with 1.2 concurrent users playing the newly released mode. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from the next season.

The primary hint was none other than the Odyssey NPC that spawned on the Battle Royale island. When you interact with this NPC, she says, “I can feel an ancient power growing on the island.” Apart from this, many other new variants of her skin were found in the update files. Data miners were quick to spot these files and clearly suggest that the sea plays an important part in the next season.
Other leaks included the Cerberus skin along with a Greek-themed loading screen. It’ll be really interesting to see what kind of new items Epic adds to this season. In previous chapters, Fortnite did keep travelling between futuristic and medieval environments. They even introduced cannonball launchers into the island as a quick mode of transport.
It will be really interesting to see what kind of transport elements they bring into the next map. I’m expecting the snowy areas surrounding the island to change completely. Already on the island, a ton of snow has melted, and every week we can see new patches of green grass appearing across the map.
Live Event Incoming?
A large “Titan’s hand” has been spotted on the map. This is something very common in Fortnite where elements of the next season are showcased early. Kevin the cube had a similar story where it traveled all across the island, building up to an iconic live event in Loot Lake. The cube melted and turned the whole lake purple. The lake had anti-gravity features added to players walking over it. As per leakers, this new event will feature a giant hand popping out from the ground. The titan’s hand is said to be holding the Pandora box, which contains rewards for players who attempt to open it. Most likely, players can party up and take part in this live event. The goal will be to obviously open Pandora’s box, but it’s most likely to be super easy to complete, with the majority of the event being cutscenes.

Epic has been teasing more live events in Fortnite ever since the introduction of Unreal Engine 2. The event is teased to be loud, with earthquakes dominating the whole map. I’m expecting an event similar to that of the “Prisoner” from the OG Chapter 1 of Fortnite. We’ll have to wait and see how big of an explosive event Fortnite rolls out this time.
With regards to updates in Lego Fortnite, previous leaks of a new galaxy biome are yet to appear within the game. We could probably expect those leaks to appear in Lego Fortnite in Chapter 5, Season 2. For now, no other leaks have popped up for the new modes that were recently launched.
