Updated Best Loadout For Fortnite Zero Build – Chapter 5 Season 2

Personally, the “zero build” mode in Fortnite has grown on me over the last few seasons. The game is played out in the exact opposite manner of the “build mode,” making it unique in its own way. In the typical build mode of Fortnite, players are expected to push opponents and engage in short-range fights rather than the usual battle royale snipe battle. Don’t get me wrong, “Build mode” is what made Fortnite the game it is today. The struggle arises when new players want to play the game; the skill gap between players in build mode is ridiculously high. Hence, for those who want to play Fortnite in a completely different way, “zero build” mode might just be the best option. Keep reading for the best loadout in Fortnite “no builds.”

Thunder Burst SMG is Overpowered in Zero Build

With the auto shotgun being heavily nerfed, players now opt for a shotgun-SMG combo. The Thunder SMG serves as the best primary weapon for close to medium-range fights. For the scope of the gun, use a “red dot” scope. This allows players to take down medium-ranged opponents with ease. For players that land all of their shots, the time to kill for this SMG is way lesser than in average assault rifle fights. Attach a drum magazine, and players need not rush with their shots as they’ll have plenty of ammo. Other attachments would be a laser under-barrel and a muzzle brake. Both these attachments help deal with recoil. The laser under-barrel makes this SMG viable for hip firing as it gives the gun added precision.

Fortnite’s Gatekeeper Shotgun is Easier to finish off damaged Opponents in Zero Build

Ideally, players start the engagement with a shotgun shot followed by an SMG spray-down. In no builds, the pump shotgun-SMG combination never really clicked. Instead, players start off with the SMG and finish opponents by landing some fat shotgun shots. The Gatekeeper shotgun is perfect for this new strat. Though it has only three bullets per magazine, the instant fire rate compensates with more damage in lesser time. Since it has only three bullets, saving it for the end is what is recommended.

The red dot optic along with the Speed grip are the two recommended attachments to use for this shotgun. Many recommend adding a drum magazine for the extra shots, but that decision comes at the price of a longer reload time.

Reaper Sniper still the King of insta-kills in Fortnite Zero Build

Despite the multiple nerfs, the gun has gone through, it still remains as the only gun capable of instantly killing opponents. With this gun, assault rifles are often ignored. Attachments recommended for the sniper include a sniper scope, a speed magazine, and an angled scope. This gun has been nerfed over and over again, yet it still remains overpowered. It is the best gun to lurk and third-party opponents without giving them a chance. Getting access to it in the early stages of the game is key to getting full value from the gun.

Concussive grenades and Flowberry Fizz for the remaining slots

Flowberry Fizz gives up to 100 in shield along with a movement boost. Mobility is key in no builds as it is the heart and soul of Fortnite. The concussive grenades are still the best go-to item to use when in a tight situation and players need to escape. Stacking multiple grenades comes in clutch during late-game situations. Add a bit of Flowberry Fizz just before using a concussive grenade for boosted grenade launch.
