When a game appears on the Internet before it has been officially announced, often the various websites of global rating boards are the culprits.
This time it is Metacritic that is showing early on a yet-to-be-announced edition of a game.
A page can be found on Metacritic for Resident Evil 4 Remake: Gold Edition. The page states that this edition will be released on Feb. 9, 2024. It does not say what the Gold Edition will consist of, but most likely it will include the game plus all the extra content already released for the game.
At the moment, only the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are listed as platforms on which Resident Evil 4 Remake: Gold Edition will release. Since the original also came out for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, we assume that the Gold Edition will also appear on these platforms.
Given that the release date is apparently already in two months, it probably won’t be long until the official announcement of the game follows. There is also a good chance it will be during The Game Awards.
