GUIDE | Eliminate Bots in CS:GO

CS:GO is a game that has captured the hearts of millions of players worldwide with its tactical gameplay and immersive environment. But sometimes, players want to test their skills and strategies or warm up before a big match without the pressure of human opponents. This is where bots come in handy. However, there may be times when you want to remove these bots from your private server. This article will guide you on how to eject bots from a private CS:GO server and retrieve them when needed.

Opening the CS:GO console

The first step to removing bots from your CS:GO private server is to open the console. The console is a hidden function that allows you to enter commands, change game settings, and manage your server. To access the console, you must activate it from the game settings.

Go to the game settings, click “Game,” and then “Enable Developer Console”. Once enabled, you can access the console using your keyboard’s tilde (~) key. If the tilde does not work, try other keys such as “`” or “Shift + Esc.”

Removing bots from a private CS:GO server

Once the console is open, you can eject bots from your private server. Before proceeding, ensure you are the server administrator or have the necessary permissions to kick bots.

Commands to kick bots from a CS:GO server

You can use a few commands to kick bots from your server. The most basic command is ‘bot_kick.’ When you enter this command in the console and press enter, all bots will be removed from the server.

If you want to remove bots from a specific team, you can use ‘bot_kick ct’ to kick all bots from the Counter Terrorist team or ‘bot_kick t’ to kick all bots from the Terrorist team.

Another useful command is ‘bot_quota’. This command allows you to set the number of bots on your server. For example, if you enter ‘bot_quota 0’, all bots will be removed. If you enter ‘bot_quota 5’, the server will always try to keep 5 bots in the game.

Recovering bots on a private CS:GO server

If you have kicked all bots from your server and want to get them back, you can use the ‘bot_add’ command. This command will add a bot to the team with the least players. If you want to add a bot to a specific team, you can use ‘bot_add ct’ for the Counter-Terrorist team or ‘bot_add t’ for the Terrorist team.

You can also use the ‘bot_quota’ command to increase the number of bots. For example, ‘bot_quota 10’ will add enough bots to reach 10.

Mastering the art of removing and adding bots in CS:GO can give you more control over your gaming experience. Knowing how to manage bots on your private server can be incredibly useful whether you’re practicing, trying out new strategies, or want a more relaxed game. So, the next time you start CS:GO, remember these commands and tailor your gaming experience to your liking. Happy gaming!
