Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Angers Arkham Fans

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now officially out on all modern platforms, but has been out early for those who have pre ordered the game. The game has been facing a negative word of mouth ever since news came out that the game would be a live service multiplayer game with no offline mode. That is, understandably, a very reasonable reason to be upset with.

While Rocksteady did undo the online always requirements by adding an offline mode (release date not yet available), they can’t seem to catch a break after major leaks came out about the story of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

A fair bit of warning, this will contain spoilers regarding the games story and the fate of all of the Justice League. So if you don’t want to be spoiled and are planning on getting the game soon, this is your only warning to stop reading and wait until after you read the game.

Batman’s Fate Leaves Fans Mad

Throughout the story of the game, the Suicide Squad kills the Justice League (except for Wonder Woman, who dies at the hands of a braindwashed Superman). There are some who have accepted that the Justice League will indeed die, and are completely fine with that. After all, this is just one iteration of the Justice League over hundreds or thousands of them.

However, many have theorized that, despite the title of the game, the Suicide Squad will not kill the Justice League and will instead team up together to defeat Brainiac and save the world. Unfortunately, that is not what happened and the Suicide Squad does indeed kill the Justice League, which is 100% a complete and total shocker (no it is not, it’s in the title of the game).

However, there is one death in the game that really pissed off a lot of fans, and that is the death of none other than the Batman.

As we all know, Kevin Conroy passed away from cancer, and the world mourns the loss of the legendary voice actor who gave his heart and soul to every iteration of Batman and Bruce Wayne he voices. With that in mind, many fans of the Arkham series are in an uproar about the “disrespect” Rocksteady gave to not only Batman and Kevin Conroy, but to the Justice League as a whole.

Twitter user SynthPotato expresses his frustration with the handling of the iconic Arkham Batman and the Justice League, which are all beloved characters. He goes on to say that the Suicide Sqauad is nothing but “fanfic level garbage” trying to be pushed as the new canon for the Arkhamverse.

Another Twitter user goes so far as to even wish death upon the developers of the game, which is admittedly taking things too much.

Twtter user EverydayConman perfectly describes what is wrong with the previous tweet, stating that the game itself has serious issues that has nothing to do with “woke agenda”. The game really does have its faults and other issues, but it is being buried underneath the mindless hate for a game that isn’t marketed as a send off to Kevin Conroy and his Batman.
