iNSaNiA Talks Liquid’s Tough Start: Second Place Just Stings

Insania interview dreamleage

Dota 2’s professional scene is not for the lighthearted, and iNSaNiA knows that. DreamLeague Season 22 kicked off with some wild surprises, and guess what? Team Liquid got hit with a curveball, drawing with 1win in their first series.

Captain iNSaNiA, aka Aydin Sarkohi, spilled the beans in a post-game chat about the team’s vibe, thoughts on the new patch, and what they’re gunning for this season. Let’s see what happens when iNSaNiA gets real about the highs and lows of pro gaming – because let’s face it, being second so often just plain sucks.

Liquid’s Draw with 1win

Team Liquid had a bit of a bumpy ride on the first day of DreamLeague Season 22. They hit a roadblock in their opening series, ending up with a draw. Things didn’t get easier as Team Spirit, the reigning International champions, handed them a solid defeat in the next series.

Now, facing off against Team Spirit was tough, but the real eyebrow-raiser was that tie against 1win. In a post-match chat following their clash with 1win, iNSaNiA spoke about how 1win’s sneaky strategy threw them for a loop in Game 1. The In-Game Leader of Team Liquid gave props to 1win for their gutsy moves, especially in making life miserable for Liquid’s midlaner, Nisha.

Taking it in stride, Team Liquid flipped the script in Game 2, securing the win. Aydin even threw in a bit of humor, mentioning that losing the first match is practically a Team Liquid tradition.

iNSaNiA’s Thoughts on New Patch

7.35c dota 2 patch

Valve rolled out a new patch just before DreamLeague Season 22, tweaking powerful items and giving forgotten heroes a chance. Team Liquid’s captain, iNSaNiA, shared his thoughts after a few days of studying.

Initially, he thought the nerfs to Mage Slayer weren’t quite enough, but there’s a twist – he hasn’t even seen a Mage Slayer in his recent games.

In his own words:

“I don’t think I’ve seen a Mage Slayer yet in my games, so I dunno. It seems like it has done the job, and Mage Slayer is gone, which I think a lot of people are happy about.”

iNSaNiA’s keeping tabs on the shifting meta, and it looks like the patch is bringing much-needed changes to this game. So, what’s going to happen at DreamLeague S22 still remains the question. But, one thing is sure, iNSaNiA surely knows something we don’t.

Liquid’s Plans and Hopes for DreamLeague

Team Liquid, a well-known name in Dota 2, has consistently fallen short in grand finals lately, often landing in the runner-up spot. Despite changes to their roster, winning a tournament is still not in their bag.

Asked about their plans for DreamLeague Season 22, iNSaNiA shared a hopeful note for fans. Since BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, the team has been on a mission to overcome their second-place streak and secure a championship win. Acknowledging the memes about their perpetual runner-up status, iNSaNiA assured fans that the team is actively working to address their issues and clinch a victory.

He said:

“Ever since the BetBoom Dacha, we decided we really wanted to commit to try to get over our last hump and try to figure out how to win finals ’cause we’re tired of getting second.”
