The plan is to add a point-based round system, allowing teams to battle each other in multiple rounds. FACEIT has already seen success in titles like Counter-Strike. They have their own specific tournaments that feature huge cash rewards, some of which are bigger than the ones the developers offer themselves. FACEIT has made it clear that the group plans to reinvest a major share of the revenue they make through this tournament.

Many Pro eSports Teams Have Already Been Announced.

Valorant fans might be familiar with the names Team Heretics, Karmine Corp, Zeta Division, Team Dignitas, and the South American powerhouse LOUD. Well, these teams have confirmed their participation in this new format. FACEIT plans to introduce multiple game modes, which include Capture the Flag, Shrinking Zone, Hardpoint and many more. It is still unclear whether independent teams will feature for each of these modes, or if one team per org participates in them all.

Is ESL Bringing in a New Competitive System?

Brian Krämer, the Senior Director at ESL, confirmed that the goal of the organization is to introduce a new competitive ecosystem into the mix. By introducing an exclusive competitive mode for Fortnite ESL, the company plans to reward map creators using the existing “Fortnite Creative” model. Also, It’s been confirmed  that Epic is not officially partnering with ESL.  Epic might help speed up the technical side of the tournament, but no official tie-ups have been announced. ESL expects elite map creators to shine here and build some amazing competitive maps.

Fortnite already has a business model running for its creative maps. Depending on how many users are online, play the map, and the amount of time they spend, creators get paid based on these stats. Overall, the highilight is on the potential earnings for pro players and map creators in this new competitive scene. ecosystem. ESL would be able to create its own rules, add its own items without Epic or any official interference. As mentioned previously, ESL’s Counter-Strike FACEIT operations have been running smoothly. In fact, they’ve been doing better than Valve (CS’s official developers) themselves.

This will be the first time in Fortnite’s history that they feature new game modes that will keep repeating and might even have ranks very soon. It would be fun to see who ends up dominating these team-based modes. Will the Battle Royale players learn the new mechanics of these modes? We’ll have to wait and see.
