Super Mario Maker Players Beat All Levels Prior to Wii U Shutdown

In an impressive display of dedication and skill, a team of video game enthusiasts calling themselves Team 0% completed a monumental challenge within the world of Super Mario Maker, a game known for its vast and ever-growing library of user-generated levels. As the clock ticked down towards the shutdown of the Wii U’s online services, this group managed to conquer every single level. Their commitment not only showcases their love for the game but also marks the end of an era for the Wii U platform, which has seen dwindling support in favor of the newer Nintendo Switch.

While some levels were bypassed due to requiring tool-assisted speedruns (TAS), the team’s feat remained largely unaffected. Their conquest culminated with the completion of a level aptly named The Last Dance, a final hurdle crossed well ahead of the impending service discontinuation. With this chapter closed, the team turns their sights to Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch, continuing their unique journey. Engagement with the gaming community continues through their official Discord server, where fans and followers can witness the team’s ongoing achievements.

Removed Levels from Super Mario Maker

A specific level in Super Mario Maker, known as “Trimming the Hedges,” was removed from official recognition due to it being uploaded in violation of the game’s rules, involving tool-assisted methods for its completion. Several other courses were similarly disqualified from official completion statistics, as they required non-legitimate means, such as tool-assisted speedruns (TAS), for players to beat them. “Ahoyo,” who was responsible for uploading the said level, recognized the dedication of Team 0% in their legitimate gameplay and extended congrats for their enduring efforts. Team 0% has requested that their community not engage in any negative interactions concerning these removed levels.

Despite the use of TAS to complete “Trimming the Hedges,” a subset of players is still dedicated to conquering the level without any assistance. The challenging spirit of Team 0% is far from over, as Super Mario Maker 2 invites players to tackle numerous yet-to-be-solved older stages. Those interested in following Team 0%’s progress can join an official Discord server that provides current data and insights into their continuous challenges.

Super Mario Maker engages players in crafting their unique stages using tools and elements from iconic games within the series such as the original Super Mario Bros.Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World.
