ATLUS has announced that the release date for their upcoming RPG, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, has officially been moved ahead to June 14, 2024.  This means an entire week earlier to immerse yourself in the apocalyptic world of Da’at on a whole range of platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 / 5, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam.

This latest addition to the beloved franchise brings together the full experience of Shin Megami Tensei V along with a brand-new story path. Prepare for expanded areas to discover, new demonic foes to battle, and a thrilling soundtrack that perfectly complements the improved combat system. It promises a richer, smoother RPG experience set against the backdrop of a timeless war between angels and demons.

The adventure begins in modern-day Tokyo. A grisly detour and a sudden collapse transport the protagonist to the apocalyptic wasteland of Da’at. Threatened by vicious demons, salvation comes in unexpected ways, leading to a fusion that creates a being known as a Nahobino – neither fully human nor demon.

At the heart of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is choice.  Embark on the original path, the Canon of Creation, as seen in Shin Megami Tensei V, or dive into the thrilling new story arc, the Canon of Vengeance. This tale of retribution features its own unique characters, a mysterious group of demons known as the Qadištu, and unexplored locations begging for your attention. Whichever route you take, expect the series’ classic elements like strategic demon merging, exhilarating combat, and deep field exploration to be back and better than ever.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is shaping up to be the definitive version of the critically acclaimed RPG from 2021. Pre-orders are available now for your platform of choice, with digital pre-orders for Nintendo Switch coming soon. If you already have the game pre-ordered, you’re good to go and will receive the game on the new release date.
