Speculation has finally crystallized into confirmation: Sony’s once PlayStation 4-exclusive title, Ghost of Tsushima, is arriving on PC. This release will come in the form of a Director’s Cut and will be available at full price. Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, this open-world narrative follows the journey of samurai Jin Sakai and has been tailored for the PC by Nixxes Software, a Netherlands-based developer that joined the PlayStation Studios family in 2021.

Not only will they receive the full narrative content, but they can also expect several technical enhancements that leverage the capabilities of modern PC hardware, promising to elevate the already acclaimed gameplay experience.

Ghost of Tsushima: Key Details on the PC Release

The eagerly awaited PC rendition of “Ghost of Tsushima” is set to launch on May 16, 2024, available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. This edition, known as the Director’s Cut, will encapsulate the original game, the Iki Island expansion, and the multiplayer mode. Despite a four-year anticipation period, the price remains firm at €59.99.

Technical enhancements have been a focus of the adaptation process. Nixxes Software has diligently adapted the game engine technology from Sucker Punch for the PC platform. Features include:

  • Wide-Screen Support: Compatibility with Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), and a triple monitor setup (48:9).
  • Advanced Graphics Options: Enablement of graphics optimization technologies such as Nvidia DLSS 3AMD FSR 3, or Intel XeSS, depending on the player’s graphic card preferences.
  • Control Flexibility: The game is fully playable with mouse and keyboard; however, for those preferring a controller, it includes support for the DualSense controller’s unique features on PC.

Linking your Steam and PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts allows access to exclusive in-game items: the Archer’s Attire and a particular in-game charm.

Pre-order of the game comes with bonuses that include a horse for a companion in New Game+, the Traveller’s Attire, and various armor dyes from the in-game merchant.

“Ghost of Tsushima” will make its awaited PC debut following the release of “Horizon Forbidden West,” with its system requirements already disclosed, scheduled for March 21.
