Don’t Force Me Cup – Warcraft 3 Legends Colide

Don't Force me Up cup

We all know that Warcraft 3 is way past its glory days, but tournaments like Don’t Force Me Cup bring it back to life! If you ask professional Wc3 players like Lyn, Moon, or Infi, this type of cup is exactly what the scene needs.

So, what’s happening with this tournament? Who’s bringing in the cash? What’s the cash prize?

With all these questions, the only thing to do is to dig in and see more about Don’t Force Me Cup!

Don’t Force Me Cup – From Regular to Global

The Don’t Force Me Up Cup is a Chinese-based organization with Fortitude (human player) as an orga. He thought that making it about Wc3 is still worth it, so he wanted to host a tournament each week with solid prize pools. Each tournament was around $200 in prize money, distributed to the first three places.

So, the thing became a regular tournamnet in the Wc3 scene, and all sorts of players wanted to join in. Most importantly, guys from W3Champions, made it possible for players from Asia to connect perfectly with players from the EU. And we had a nice tournament, similar to the Zotac Cup back in the day.

But how come it became global?

Well, the idea of making this tournament a big deal also came from Fortitude. That’s because he won the BetBoom Classic Warcraft 3 tournament back in Dubai. He managed to defeat Happy in the grand finals 3-2. Later on, it was decided that Fortitude would donate the prize money to this tournament.

About the Tournament

This tournament features only top-of-the-top players from the Warcraft 3 scene. It’s actually quite interesting to see some match-ups like Moon against Fly100%. Also, the fact that this tournament reached an amazing $18,090 prize pool only makes it better.

We know that these players are far from the highest-earning players in eSports, but it’s certainly a nice thing to see some money come into the Wc3 scene.

So, as far as we know, the tournament is divided into a group stage and the main event. There are three groups, A,B, and C. Top two players advance further from each group, while the one on the 3rd position gets to play in tie-breakers.

The Don’t Force Me Up Cup is in progress, and we’re witnessing some really nice Warcraft here.

You can even check a match between Moon and Kaho here:

How Far Are We?

The tournament is still in the group stage. But 2 out of 3 groups are done. So, in the first group, we have Lyn and Fortitude advancing straight to the main event, while Infi is in tie-breakers. The second group is also over with Moon and Kaho (Night Elf power) advancing, while Sok is in the tie-breakers.

The third group is nearly done with Happy surely going in the finals and Lawliet surely dropping. We’re about to see where Focus and eer0 will be placed.

There is much more Warcraft to be played here, and we’re surely awaiting some spectacular matches here!
