Best Agents to Play on Breeze – Valorant Guide

After all the recent changes, Breeze looks like it could be a staple map in Valorant. There are some key aspects of the map that make it unique compared to the other maps in the pool. The long distance between both sites forces attackers to commit to a site rather than the traditional “fake rotation” meta. Hence, choosing agents that are aggressive and can commit to a site is crucial. From a defensive perspective, choosing the right sentinel is key as they have to delay long enough for teammates to rotate. Keeping all of this in mind, here are the best agents (as per win ratio) to play on Breeze.

Duelists on Breeze

Undoubtedly, the top picks for duelists still remain as the two OG agents, Jett and Reyna. Both these agents complement each other while trying to enter either of the sites on Breeze. With a perfect Sova or Kay/O recon, both Jett and Reyna can enter the site and take on blinded opponents. The long pathways in Breeze are best suited for high Reyna flashes. Combine them with a Jett peeking out of her own smoke, and you have a strong strategy to enter sites. Timing is key here, and Reyna’s role would be to play off of Jett’s contact, reposition, and keep fragging.

Controller – Viper Dominates A-site Entry!

Breeze is considered one of the toughest maps in Valorant for every controller except Viper. While attacking, she can divide the map into two with her “Toxic Wall” and reduce the number of angles to be cleared while entering the site. This single smoke wall alone allows Viper for numerous plays while being away, lurking for lineups. Post-plant lineups for Viper in Breeze are overpowered and easy to learn. After getting the plant, as long as flanking opponents have been cleared from the round, Viper can close out the rounds with her molly lineups.

Is Gekko a Decent Initiator For Breeze?

As of now, Sova is considered the best initiator with his impressive 49.8% win rate (Valorant Tracker). His recons can be shot on high walls located all over the map in Breeze. Timing these recons well allows for some easy frags when teams try to push into the site. When aimed up high, opponents are forced to break the recon in a weird position, leaving them exposed to easy shots. This meta is played in almost all ranks of Valorant and is a must-learn for initiators on Breeze. Interestingly, Gekko is also a good pick in Breeze. With just over a year since the agent was introduced, Gekko allows for free plants using his wingman. Throw his flash high, combine it with a Viper orb, and Gekko can walk into both sites with duelists ready to trade at any point in time.

Cypher Over Sage in Breeze!

Though Cypher dominates in win rate, both Cypher and Sage are good picks for Breeze. Unlike traditional sentinel gameplay, on Breeze, a sentinel should bring maximum value in terms of information. Breeze, being the vast open map it is, has many spots to place Cypher cameras and dominate map control. Cypher can single-handedly spy and gather information from the mid-section on Breeze using different camera positions. His trips are annoying and considered unplayable, particularly on the B-site. His one-way cages give enough stalling power to act as useful smoke opponents can’t push through easily.

It’s true that Cypher has limited post-plant retaking abilities and struggles while trying to rotate. Also, it does take a bit of time to learn and master Cypher’s strats. This is where Sage comes into play as the next best sentinel. Her walls are pretty straightforward and crucial to hold opponents trying to enter. Combine the walls with her orbs, and the whole team has enough time to make plays and close out the rounds.
