Riot Games recently released the new Mystbloom skin bundle for Valorant as part of Episode 8 Act 3. The bundle features skins for the Operator, Phantom, Judge, Sheriff, and a new melee Kunai knife. With its adorable pink aesthetic and floral visual effects, it quickly became a fan favorite, especially among female players. Players quickly discovered a glitch caused by the valorant mystbloom, granting an unfair wallhack advantage.
How the Mystbloom Wallhack Works
When players inspect or reload guns from the Mystbloom bundle, the skin’s unique VFX allows them to see highlighted outlines of enemy players through walls. This means if an opponent is hiding nearby, their character model will be clearly visible, revealing their location. The wallhack applies to all guns in the bundle and all maps, making it an extremely potent advantage in any situation.
Riot Responds to Mystbloom Controversy
I thought people were memeing about the new skin being wallhack but it’s actually real LMAO. Mostly on the Operator from my testing pic.twitter.com/PKjKsVuTho

AverageJonas, a popular streamer and Sova lineup expert, brought the Mystbloom wallhack bug to public attention on Twitter. Riot’s Lead Producer for Cosmetic Content, Preeti Khanolkar, quickly responded, acknowledging the issue and confirming it was unintentional.
An Expensive Pay-to-Win Advantage
The fact that the Mystbloom bundle costs a significant amount of money has added to the controversy. Each gun skin is priced at 2175 VP (Valorant Points), while the new knife skin costs 4350 VP. For players who spent around $100 on the full bundle, gaining a wallhack advantage feels like an unfair pay-to-win situation that undermines competitive integrity.
More Than Just a Cute Aesthetic
The pretty pink theme and gorgeous finisher animation of blossoming flowers sold the Mystbloom bundle as the main selling points, but some players may have bought the bundle specifically to abuse the wallhack glitch. However, Riot has made it clear they did not intend this advantage, so those looking to capitalize on it will face disappointment once Riot releases the fix.
Appreciating Skin Designers’ Hard Work
While bugs like this are concerning, it’s also important to appreciate the incredible artistry and effort that goes into designing premium skin bundles like Mystbloom. The VFX team deserves praise for the bundle’s beautiful visuals, even if one aspect inadvertently caused an issue. Hopefully, this experience leads to more stringent cosmetic testing processes going forward.
The Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 Battle Pass
Aside from the Valorant Mystbloom bundle glitch issue, there’s plenty of new content to enjoy in Valorant’s latest act. The Episode 8 Act 3 Battle Pass introduces new weapon skins, gun buddies, player cards, and Radianite points to earn through gameplay. Valorant’s dedicated fan base always unlocks premium cosmetics without paying as a plus.
