Todd Howard teases (but does not give) new info on Indiana Jones game

We’ve known since January 2021 that MachineGames, the studio behind the popular Wolfenstein games, is currently diligently tinkering with a game centered around Indiana Jones. The new virtual adventure of everyone’s favorite archaeologist was officially supposed to come to the Xbox and PC … but the announcement was followed by a long period of deafening radio silence.

In an interview with Esquire, Bethesda’s Todd Howard hinted that, as a fan, he is very much looking forward to the Indiana Jones game. The goal is to make players really feel like Indiana Jones – a logical move, but a statement that is music to our ears. However, Howard was not allowed to reveal more information at this time.

“I am a giant Indiana Jones fan. It can be brought to video games in a unique way. The game is obviously: you’re exploring stuff. It’s about him. So if you’re playing the game, how do you feel that you are indeed playing versus just watching?”

Though the man does know how to build tension. Before Howard left the Esquire office after the interview, he told the journalist that he would have more to say next year. So from this we can deduce that we will finally find out more about the Indiana Jones game in 2024. Keep that news coming!

Have your say!
