We haven’t heard anything about State of Decay 3 for quite some time, and if the latest reports are to be believed, development is going pretty painstakingly.
Nevertheless, Undead Labs is (if all goes well) working diligently on the survival game, but it is possible that the developer is working on other things.
Indeed, the LinkedIn profile of Daniel Floyd – who has been with the studio for nearly 10 years until February of this year – reveals that he has been working on “not-yet released projects,” with emphasis on the plural of projects. One of those projects will undoubtedly be State of Decay 3, but Undead Labs may thus have more projects in development.
Either way, eyes will be on State of Decay 3 first. This year is as good as lost, but hopefully we will get to see more of the long-awaited sequel in 2024.
