In response to inquiries about whether this unnamed AAA title would be launching within the next year, Wingefors emphasized the need for such a game to be crafted with “significant care and respect,” suggesting it will be some time before the title is ready for release. This points to a probable launch window extending beyond the current year and possibly into 2025, although the project is still actively in development and not shelved.
The speculation surrounding this unnamed AAA game suggests that it is the KOTOR remake. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier asserts it is the only project that fits the description, especially following the sale of Saber Interactive. Despite the sale, Saber Interactive is set to continue its development work on the project in collaboration with Embracer. However, the specifics of their arrangement remain undisclosed.
