While PlayStation and PC gamers have been able to enjoy the official release of Baldur’s Gate III for a while now, Xbox players unfortunately still have to be patient before the game is available on Microsoft consoles. Previously, Larian Studios had announced that the game would still be available on Xbox this year, but as the end of the year approaches, some fans are starting to have doubts.
According to Michael Douse, the director of publishing at Larian Studios, there is no reason to panic, as he revealed via X. The team is still working hard to make Baldur’s Gate III available for the Xbox Series X|S this year.
Larian had hoped to release the Xbox Series X|S version of the game on the same day as the PS5 release, but some problems occurred with the Xbox Series S version, making it unfeasible. The team is now working to resolve these issues, including adding split-screen co-op functionality that will not be readily available on the Series S release.
Baldur’s Gate III is currently available for PlayStation 5 and PC.
