Gaijin Entertainment and Three Whales Studio have announced that Age of Water will now launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S / X on April 18th, coinciding with the previously announced Early Access debut on Steam.
In Age of Water, a post-apocalyptic Earth has been ravaged by a devastating flood. Humanity has adapted, building settlements atop the remnants of a submerged civilization. In this setting, you take on the role of a captain, navigating dangerous waters in your own vessel. Age of Water has something for everyone, whether you prefer solo exploration, cooperative adventures, or some PvP combat.
Aside from combat, Age of Water aims to be an open-world experience. You can build your dream base while uncovering hidden settlements, trading precious resources, or diving deep to unearth long-lost artifacts from the ocean floor.
But it’s not just about the battles—Age of Water is also about freedom. Start with a modest boat and work your way up to a 30-meter behemoth. With a variety of ship customization at your fingertips, you have the power to equip your ship with armor, weapons, and the perfect crew to suit your unique playstyle.
When your ship is ready for action, get ready to partake in naval battles. The choice is yours—will you sink your enemies or take their ships as your own? But if high-stakes confrontations aren’t your style, don’t worry. Age of Water is designed with your preferences in mind. PvE enthusiasts will find plenty of activities to immerse themselves in, while those seeking PvP action can embark on smuggling missions, where fellow seafarers may be lurking, ready to attack.
