NEW Baki Anime Revealed and It’s Looking Good

Baki fans, get ready to be absolutely hyped! Not one, but two major anime announcements are set to further expand the world of intense martial arts action. First up, a new Baki anime series based on the Baki-Dou manga is greenlit. And if that wasn’t enough, Netflix just dropped a bombshell by revealing an upcoming crossover film pitting Baki Hanma against the fighters of Kengan Ashura. See details below!

A Fresh Baki Series Enters the Ring

For all those new to the series, Baki is a conventional Keisuke Itagaki martial arts manga series that has created numerous popular anime adaptations in its time. The most recent show, Baki Hanma, covered the “Strongest Parent/Child Quarrel” arc. Now there will be an anime adaptation of the 2014 Baki-Dou manga.

Baki-Dou takes place immediately after Baki Hanma. This time, they’re up against a cloned and necromantic legendary reanimated swordsman. Battles of martial arts are certain to be intense, but little else is known about a release date or streaming details for the new Baki-Dou anime yet. Netflix seems like a likely home since it has aired the previous Baki series.

An Over-the-Top Crossover to Get Hyped For

While a new Baki anime is awesome news, Netflix really stole the show by announcing Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura, an absolutely wild crossover film combining two of the most badass martial arts properties. The stacked film will pit Baki’s crew against Kengan Ashura’s fighters in a tournament.

For those unaware, Kengan Ashura is another manga/anime series featuring gruesome gladiator martial arts competitions. Big names like Baki and Kengan’s Ohma Tokita meet each other, fulfilling a dream for fans of both series. The potential for so much devastating martial arts action is going to be amazing.

Netflix unveiled an epic teaser trailer for Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura at AnimeJapan 2024, announcing the crossover film will hit the streaming service on June 6th, 2024. Fans already betting on who will dominate this anime battle royale.

An Unstoppable One-Two Combo for Martial Arts Fans

It’s an incredible time to be a fan of incredibly intense martial arts action, with the new Baki-Dou anime series and the wildly overrated Baki-Mama VS Kengan Ashura movie. Baki’s world continues to grow in epic proportions, providing fans what they want. Ridiculous muscular fighters slaying each other creatively and brutally.

While details are still fairly scarce on the Baki-Dou anime, having a fresh Baki story get the anime treatment is cause for celebration. Baki has consistently delivered some of the most thrilling and hyper-violent martial arts battles in anime. You can bet this new series will be no different as Baki and his ridiculously stacked friends take on their latest grave threat.

But let’s be real, as hyped as a new Baki anime is, that Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura movie is going to be absolute insanity. The sheer amount of ludicrous power and techniques of the two. We’ll get to witness the two casts collide, which is going to be a treat. Martial arts fans may quite literally never recover from the bone-crunching beatdowns coming their way in this crossover throwdown.

Watch Out for More Updates

Baki-Dou anime details are still mostly under wraps and the Baki VS Kengan film not hitting until June. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to in the world of gratuitously violent martial arts anime. Buckle up and start training. You’re going to need to be in peak condition to handle the intense action headed your way!
