Ranger in Path of Exile 2

Fans of ranged combat have reason to celebrate as the Ranger class joins the Path of Exile 2 roster. GGG has reimagined the classic archetype with an emphasis on agility. New mechanics like shooting while moving and skills tailored for rapid repositioning promise a playstyle focused on outmaneuvering opponents while unleashing a flurry of arrows.

Path of Exile 2 Beta Delay for a Polished Experience

Although the Path of Exile 2 beta was originally slated for early 2024, GGG decided to postpone it until later in the year. Game Director Jonathan Rogers explained, “While we can get the game’s content ready in time, we underestimated how long it takes to get gameplay polished to a standard that we are happy with. We will still be doing an Alpha in June, but we are going to be delaying the Beta until later in the year.”

Path of Exile: Necropolis Expansion Arrives This Month

Current Path of Exile players won’t have to wait long for fresh content. The Necropolis expansion launches on March 29th for PC, Mac, and consoles. Features include:

  • The Necropolis Challenge League: In the Necropolis League, the wrathful spirits have begun to haunt the monsters of Wraeclast, unleashing their ancient fury and sorrow onto the world. The Undertaker provides you with the Lantern of Arimor, a powerful family heirloom that illuminates the spirits haunting monsters throughout Wraeclast. With it, the Undertaker hopes to employ you to rid Wraeclast of this menace – and further his cryptic cause.

  • Face a new Tier of Endgame Difficulty: Path of Exile: Necropolis introduces a new tier of Endgame Difficulty which tests your characters in new ways – Tier 17 Maps. They feature a new set of bosses, more powerful monsters, and new rewards. Access the absolute pinnacle of Path of Exile‘s most difficult bosses by completing these Maps and proving your worth.
  • Reworked Endgame Content Systems: Scarabs which can be used to enhance your Endgame Maps have been overhauled. A myriad of new options have been added, giving ways to push the challenges and rewards of Endgame Maps to new heights.
