Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 Banners and Future Updates Explained

The Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 version update is almost here, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting patches yet. With new characters, reruns, skins, and an early look at updates all the way to version 2.6, there’s plenty to look forward to. Here’s a breakdown of everything confirmed and teased so far for upcoming banners and content.

Lucia and Vivian Lead the Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 Banners

The first phase of the Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 banners features two standout characters — Lucia and Vivian. Lucia is a new S-rank Ether support unit focused on buffing crit damage and HP, ideal for synergy with rupture-based teams. Alongside her comes the long-awaited rerun of Vivian, an Ether Anomaly character returning for the first time since version 1.7.

Vivian’s rerun arrives with an added bonus: a free summer skin available through a special event. Players can earn the skin entirely free by making 180 pulls during the patch window, which spans versions 2.3 and 2.4. Supporting Lucia’s banner will be Motto, a new A-rank fire rupture character whose kit involves reducing his own HP to activate a heat state that enhances attack power.

Yadori and Jue-Fufu Close Out Version 2.3

The second phase introduces the S-rank Yadori, an Ice Rupture DPS whose damage output scales with reduced HP — the lower her health, the higher her damage potential. She’s joined by Jue-Fufu, a fire stun unit making her first rerun appearance since version 2.0.

Beyond banners, version 2.3 also includes one of the highest event counts in recent patches, a fresh story chapter, and an estimated 18,000 Polychromes available for free-to-play players. Between these rewards and the dual-phase banners, 2.3 looks packed with reasons to log in daily.

Zhu Yuan and Dailan Take Over Zenless Zone Zero 2.4

Moving into version 2.4, the first banner features Zhu Yuan — a long-teased S-rank character expected to be an Ice or Frost-element attacker with multiple weapon modes, including sword, axe, and an ice-infused form that enhances her combos. Her transformation-based playstyle could bring a new level of mechanical depth to combat.

The second phase highlights Dailan, a newly introduced female S-rank from the same faction as Yao. Though unconfirmed, early leaks suggest she may arrive as an A-rank in 2.4. For reruns, the update could feature returning characters from 1.6 to 2.0 such as Yoyo, Yuan, or Anby — the latter receiving buffs in 2.3 that strongly hint at a comeback.

The Road Ahead: Versions 2.5 and 2.6

Version 2.5 introduces Banu, an S-rank male fire rupture main DPS from a new faction. He plays a central role in the story and functions as a strong frontline fighter. The same teaser showcased another female character — likely held for the second phase of 2.5 — whose design has already drawn major attention from fans.

As for 2.6, early speculation suggests the long-awaited Idol faction will debut here. Expected members include Shinatsu (Ice support), Utane (dual-form Ether Anomaly unit with human and robot modes), and Ridu (physical stun hybrid). Shinatsu was already visible in version 2.1, so this timeline fits the pattern of recent releases.
