WWE 2K25 Update 1.16 delivers a range of new content, from unique moves and weapon animations to unlockable characters and special commentary. Here’s a breakdown of the most exciting changes from Patch 1.16 and the Dunkin Destruction Pack.
WWE 2K25 Adds Unique Animations for The Great Khali
One of the standout improvements involves The Great Khali. After executing the Khali Bomb, triggering a pinfall will showcase a new animation where Khali pins the opponent by placing his foot on their chest. His entrance and movement have also received upgrades. He now exits the ring by stepping over the top rope with a smooth motion. Lifting opponents sees Khali grabbing them by the head and hoisting them upright—another special touch that enhances authenticity.
Basketball Weapon and Janice Make Debuts
The Dunkin Destruction DLC adds a basketball as a usable weapon. Players can assign it to the weapon wheel and trigger new animations, including a slam dunk takedown and ball-head bounces during attacks. It also includes taunts like trick dribbling.
Also in the pack is Janice, Abyss’s spiked 2×4. While visually distinctive, Janice uses the same animations as the standard baseball bat. This makes it more of a visual change than a mechanical one, but its extreme look fits perfectly for hardcore matches.
The Sword of the Future and Cody Rhodesbot Unlocked in Story Mode
In Chapter 3 of the Island story mode, players can unlock the Sword of the Future after a triple threat match involving Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. Functionally, it uses the kendo stick’s animation set but has a metallic impact sound effect to distinguish it.
Another unique addition is the Cody Rhodesbot, introduced during a gauntlet sequence. Once unlocked, this robotic version of Cody Rhodes becomes playable in exhibition with new commentary lines. He’s described as a metal-enhanced copy with upgraded in-ring calculations, offering a different flavor of competition.
Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, and Lily Are Now Playable
The Ghost of Paul Bearer side quests offer three new playable characters. These include a Firefly Funhouse version of Alexa Bliss, the 2020 version of Nikki Cross (with her WWE 2K22 model), and even Lily, Alexa’s haunted doll. Unlocking Lily involves tracking down her scattered parts across the Island and assembling her, reminiscent of past fan-made projects.
Crown Jewel Arena and New Dudley Boyz Attires
The Crown Jewel arena marks the first inclusion of a Saudi Arabian venue in the WWE 2K series. It features official branding, Riyadh Season banners, and unique commentary snippets.
In a flashback tables match against the Dudley Boyz, players can unlock camo-themed attires. These aren’t pre-set alternates, so players need to recreate and save them manually using Create-a-Superstar mode.
Stephanie’s Devil’s Kiss 2 and Abyss’s Apron Chokeslam
Stephanie McMahon’s Devil’s Kiss 2 can now be used as a signature or finisher, unlike its predecessor. It’s initiated from a standing position and can be manually assigned in her move set.
Abyss also receives a brutal new move—a chokeslam off the apron. Dragging an opponent to the apron and using a light attack will trigger this exclusive animation.
New Title Motion for The Great Khali
The patch introduces a new championship entrance for The Great Khali. He carries the title over his shoulder and features a unique heel victory animation where he rips the belt from the referee after a win. This pairs well with his dominant in-ring presence and new animations.
