World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.5 goes live on October 7th, and the highlight for many players will be the Legion Remix event. This limited-time mode brings back Legion’s story and zones but adds new mechanics to keep it fresh. Timeworn Obelisks grant buffs across the open world, while the Heroic World Tier makes outdoor content harder and more rewarding. Artifact weapons return with new trait trees, offering active powers and passives for experimentation across classes and specializations.
Players can tackle Mythic Plus dungeons in timewarped keystone form with unique affixes. New daily activities like Infinite Research expand progression further, powering up characters beyond the usual limits. As players progress, they’ll unlock significant warband bonuses like stacking XP buffs, perfect for leveling alts quickly. Legion Remix also introduces multiple phases following Legion’s original patch cycle, with Argus content arriving on November 18th and additional mechanics on December 9th to close out the event.
Massive Rewards from Legion Remix
Legion Remix isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s a reward machine. Players can collect rare and even retired items, including the Violet Spellwing mount, Scythe of the Unmaker, and artifact weapon appearances. New cosmetic sets, transmogs based on key NPCs, and corrupted weapon skins are also up for grabs.
Every account receives five extra character slots for “Timerunning” characters, who can later be converted into normal ones. This opens the door to soloing Legion raids, pushing Mythic Plus 20 keys, or just farming cosmetic loot without needing a raid group. Unlike the Mists of Pandaria Remix, Legion Remix stretches over multiple phases, ensuring players have time to enjoy everything without rushing.
Turbo Boost Event for Faster Gearing
The Turbo Boost event makes its return, giving players the tools to upgrade gear faster. On patch day, Hero and Myth track items gain two extra upgrade levels, while Spark-crafted gear can be enhanced with the Augmentation Matrix. Later phases introduce further perks, including Valor Stone transfers across warbands, boosted drop rates for Bind-on-Account gear, and direct purchases of high-value dungeon and raid loot with Puzzling Cartel Chips.

Season 3 adds a twist with Ethereal Void Splinters, earned from Mythic Plus, Delves, and PvP. These act as extra Catalyst charges, making it easier to convert items into tier pieces and unlock transmog appearances. Delve vendors will also sell Hero track trinkets at higher item levels, perfect for solo players or alt gearing.
Quality-of-Life Features and Disc Belt Nerfs
Patch 11.2.5 also focuses on quality-of-life updates. The cooldown manager now includes advanced customization, letting players decide which spells, buffs, and abilities are displayed. The new “Recent Allies” tab in the social menu helps track players you’ve grouped with, making it easier to reconnect or add them as friends. Privacy settings allow players to hide their in-game location from recent allies if they choose.

Finally, the Disc Belt—once a powerful gear piece—has its effectiveness reduced by 20%. With Turbo Boost upgrades and new Season 3 gear available, most classes will replace it quickly. This shift ensures progression remains tied to newer systems rather than legacy items.
