Why You Should Avoid Using Fortnite’s Cybertruck for Now! – Fortnite News

The Cybertruck is now live in Fortnite, with all the challenges available to unlock. There has been a mixed reception to this skin due to game reasons, and it seems to be causing even more drama in-game. The skin overall looks cool and will be a legendary addition to the game in the years ahead. Irrespective of what the future holds for Tesla and Epic, Fortnite’s Cybertruck skin is bugged and should be avoided until Epic rolls out more updates.

The open-back design puts passenger seat players in more danger, and players have already cited this feature as a reason to avoid the skin. Keep reading to learn more about the Fortnite Cybertruck skin and ensure you’re making the right decision with it.

Glitch Issues with Nitro Gauntlets & The Fortnite Cybertruck

A significant disadvantage of using the Cybertruck is a recurring glitch that disables Nitro gauntlets for the remainder of the match. This glitch has been experienced multiple times. Solutions recommended by viewers, such as dropping and picking up the gloves, switching to different gloves, or using various in-game actions, have proven ineffective. Fortnite’s status on Twitter acknowledges the issue and is investigating it. Fortnite has now resolved  this problem in an update that was rolled out recently.

Lack of Back Passenger Seats

The Cybertruck does not have back passenger seats, which poses a problem for squads. Players sitting on the back are more vulnerable to enemy attacks compared to being inside the car. Additionally, the pickaxe trick, which involves holding the pickaxe swing button while entering the car, cannot be performed from the back of the Cybertruck. This trick, possible in the base SUV, is advantageous for engaging enemies who try to escape in a car.

Advantages

Using the Cybertruck for setting up easy eliminations is less effective than the base SUV. In the base SUV, a player can quickly exit the car and shoot at the passenger, often securing headshots due to the height of the car. The Cybertruck, with its external back seats, provides a worse angle for such maneuvers. Passengers in the Cybertruck also have their weapons ready, unlike in the base SUV where they need to aim and break through the window first. This delay often benefits the attacker.

The glitch with the Nitro gauntlets occurs regardless of the platform, affecting both console and PC players. This indicates that the issue is not platform-specific but inherent to the Cybertruck model.

Disadvantages

Larger Size

The Cybertruck’s larger size can be a double-edged sword.

Players can use it as cover, but it also makes it easier for enemies to target the car and its occupants. The larger windshield might also expose drivers more to shots from the front. Some players might find the inability to perform the pickaxe trick a disadvantage, especially those who enjoy aggressive car-based gameplay. Others might see it as a benefit, particularly if they prefer using cars defensively or with turrets. However, the overall disadvantages, especially the Nitro gauntlets glitch, outweigh these situational preferences.
