Character Creation Process

The process is simple and doesn’t require any unnecessary steps to complete the creation process. So, here’s what you need to do:

1. 1. Start by selecting your character’s gender. You can choose between male or female and this determines the preset designs and options that will be available. 
   2. You can change its gender later on, but it can only be changed every 14 days through a special ticket.
   3. Then, choose between two preset categories, Elegant or Realistic. There are presets that offer ready-made character designs you can immediately use to jump into the game quickly. 
   4. Choose detailed customization if you prefer a more personalized look.
   5. With the customization tab, you can manually sculpt your character’s facial features. You can adjust everything from face shape and eye size to its nose structure and jawline. 
   6. You can use the Smart Customization feature where the system automatically generates a character based on the clear photo of someone that you’ve uploaded. 
   7. Go to the Makeup section to add any facial accessories and designs.
   8. On the other hand, the Hairstyle menu lets you select from available hair options. However, you can purchase or unlock additional styles through gameplay.
   9. A voice recording feature is available at the Smart section, allowing you to record and create a custom voice for your character.  
   10. After finalizing your appearance, select an outfit through the Try On option. 
   11. Then, set your profile background and choose solo and duo poses to display during the presentation.
   12. Once done with your character, select an Aspiration Talent between Drunken Precision or Rhetoric Edge:
       • Drunken Precision – if you want better precision during Pitch Pot minigame
       • Rhetoric Edge – get advantages during Gift of the Gab debates.

How to Change Appearance

Now, if you’re tired with how your character looks, you can change them through the appearance system. Changing your appearance is usually tied to an early main quest where you need to take Ruby to the General’s Shine. Then, continue the quest chain until you encounter the Faceless Ones underground.

After using the Nameless Jade Flute in solving the puzzle and experiencing a dream sequence, you’ll meet Cheng Xin. This NPC will offer you a “disguise” service. So to access the appearance menu, here’s what you need to do:

1. 1. For a fast travel method, you can return to Cheng Xin at Still Shore with it.
   2.  With menu method, you have to open the main menu then choose Appearance twice then press the Space key.

Both methods should bring you back to the character creation screen. However, not all changes are free-of-charge since some require special tickets. Makeup adjustments are completely free but facial features under Customization needs a Water Lady Script. You can only obtain these from Jianghu Treasures Shop. 

How to Delete a Character

Unlike other games, Where Winds Meet doesn’t have an in-game character deletion option. Each account is limited to one character per platform which makes the deletion process more complicated. To delete your character, email [email protected] and request assistance. 

When contacting support, make sure to provide the following details:

• • Platform (Epic Games, official PC launcher, PS5, or Steam)
  • Platform ID (PSN ID, Steam ID, etc.)
  • Reason for deletion

Or, if you want to start over without waiting for support, just create a new account on a different platform. However, this won’t transfer any purchases you made on your original account.
