This guide will show you where each Vault is, how to unlock them, fragment locations, what to expect inside, and tips to prepare.
What Are Borderlands 4 Primordial Vaults

There are three Primordial Vault in Borderlands 4. Each one lives in a different region of Kairos (excluding Dominion): The Fadefields, Carcadia Burn, and Terminus Range.
To open a Primordial Vault in a region, you must collect three Vault Key Fragments (sometimes called Vault Fragments) hidden in that region. Once you have all three, the Vault Key appears and you can use it to unlock the Vault entrance.
Inside a Primordial Vault, you’ll face waves of enemies in three arenas, then fight the Vault Guardian boss in the fourth. Rewards include rare loot and permanent upgrades (such as Glide Pack improvements), which help for traversal and builds.
