All Lost Gestrals Locations
Lost Gestrals are scattered all over The Continent. Yet, it can be a hassle to look for them as their locations aren’t readily available or marked on the map. Some are even huddled away in corners or easy-to-miss spots. Here are all the locations you need to visit:
Location 1
A hard-to-miss location as players will naturally encounter this Lost Gestral as part of the main story progression. It would be in front of Esquie’s nest when you visit the Gestral Village during Act 1.
Location 2
Travelling up north from the Gestral Village, you can find another Lost Gestral near the Stone Wave Cliffs. Instead of following the path that leads to the Cliffs, take the diverging path to the right. There’s a Bourgeon blocking the way, so you have to find a way around it or prepare for a fight. When you do get past it, the Lost Gestral would be in an alcove at the end of the path.
Location 3
This require’s Esquie’s swimming ability which you can unlock in Act 2. Swim to the island west of Yellow Harvest where there is a portal to the White Tree dungeon. The Lost Gestral can be found in the area west of the portal, at a little corner in the rocks.
Location 4
When you recruit Monoco in his station during Act 2, you can go southeast to find a Lost Gestral. It’s marked on the map with tree icons, among which three are green and two are brown. Look for two green trees in this area and you’ll find the Lost Gestral between them.
Location 5
To access this location, you have to first unlock the ability to swim through corals. You can go around the island where Coastal Cave is and travel to the beach north of the main area. The Lost Gestral would be among the yellow trees, and you do not have to get closer to the field enemies nearby.
Location 6
After progressing through Old Lumiere in the story, swim to the red island northwest of it. Enter through the beach and follow the path until you see the two mime enemies in this area. You can fight them or go around them without getting too close. The Lost Gestral is just behind the mimes.
Location 7
Act 3 eventually gives Esquie the flying ability which you can use to get to the red forest southeast of Sirene. Before reaching the Endless Night Sanctuary portal, you’ll find this Lost Gestral to the west, standing between some trees.
Location 8
Fly toward The Reacher tower, but instead of going straight to it, land on the small grassy patch to the southeast. On the map, this is shown as a clear, elongated area surrounded by trees. The Lost Gestral is on the southern end of it.
Location 9
The final Lost Gestral is on a small floating island south of the Endless Tower. Simply fly up to this island to collect the last one.
Sastro’s Rewards
Whenever you find a Lost Gestral, you can talk to Sastro at the camp to claim your rewards. It’s recommended to talk to him after finding 4 Lost Gestrals as this unlocks the Paint Break ability as reward.
