Unlimited Pack Grind During FC 25 Team of the Year Now Possible!

FC 25 Team of the Year Upgrade Pack Changes

Over the past two years during Team of the Year (TOTY), the premium and basic upgrades have consistently released on the Monday of the first full week of the latest FC 25 Team of the Year promo. This tradition has fueled what is widely recognized as the TOTY grind. This year’s upgrade packs differ slightly from previous iterations. Last year, these premium upgrade packs featured 11 players, including four rares and seven commons. However, this year’s packs will include eight commons and three rares. While this adjustment reduces the number of rares, the core structure remains intact, ensuring players can continue grinding for endless packs. Commons are integral to this process, as they’re used in lower-tier upgrades, allowing participants to complete numerous player picks and SBCs.

Stockpiling Gold Rares for SBC

Preparing for the TOTY grind starts with stocking up on rare gold players. Many players have already begun bidding and purchasing gold rares for 650 coins each. This strategy ensures a steady inventory of cards, enabling players to craft hundreds of upgrade packs. By recycling commons and rares obtained from these packs, participants can create additional upgrade packs, generating a near-endless cycle of rewards.

The grind isn’t just about obtaining upgrade packs. High-rated fodder cards from these packs are crucial for completing expensive SBCs. For instance, investing 100,000 to 200,000 coins in crafting league upgrade packs often yields multiple squads worth of fodder for high-value challenges like Kevin De Bruyne’s 1.7-1.8 million coin SBC. Additionally, fodder cards like 84s and 83s become readily available, reducing the need to purchase them separately.

Market Trends During FC 25 Team of the Year

The TOTY period creates significant market fluctuations, offering opportunities for traders. For instance, panic selling during content releases can lead to profitable buys. Yesterday, Carlos Alberto’s price dropped from 1.4 million to 1.25 million coins. Savvy traders took advantage, purchasing and reselling him for 1.36 million. Similarly, Phil Foden saw his price drop from 1 million to 880,000 coins before rebounding to 990,000 coins. Recognizing these patterns can help players profitably trade cards.

Market activity often depends on position-specific trends. While center-backs remain stable, the availability of new Evolution upgrades may cause fluctuations in certain areas. Learning the prices of a few key players and monitoring fluctuations can enable efficient trading during TOTY. Lazy selling is another effective strategy, where players bid on Team of the Week cards at 14,000 coins and relist them for 17,000 coins, capitalizing on demand spikes during daily SBC releases.

Anticipated Content Updates

TOTY is packed with exciting content updates. EA has introduced objectives such as the Team of the Year Cup, featuring two Evolutions. These objectives often require simple tasks, such as playing 12 matches or scoring 15 goals, rewarding players with valuable packs and Evolution upgrades. This year’s cup may also impact market prices, as players sell existing cards to create new Evolution items.

Additionally, EA typically releases 83×5 position-specific packs, such as the midfielder upgrade pack expected today. This allows players to chase TOTY midfielders while obtaining fodder for SBC completions. The possibility of exchanges, though not yet confirmed, remains a point of speculation. While exchanges were a popular feature last year, they may be delayed due to the introduction of duplicate storage.
