Team Liquid: EMEA
Team Liquid is one of the premier organizations in Valorant esports in 2024, especially in the EMEA region. They’ve announced their Valorant roster during August 2020, just a few months after the game’s launch.
Team Liquid has remained as a top contender in the EMEA region along with various roster changes for three consecutive years (2021-2023). Given their continuous competence for and strong performance in international competitions, they have yet to win a significant world championship.
DRX
DRX was formerly known as the Vision Strikers. Known for their innovative tactics and strategic approaches in-game. They formed during June 2020 and this specific roster consisted of CS:GO professionals from South Korea back then. Maybe not as commendable as they were in their 2021 era, they still remain as the most respected organizations around North America and still have the largest fan base.
Cloud9
Cloud9 was already formed during the game’s closed beta. They’ve had a lot of roster iteration, trying to find the right combination of players. At first, they signed a mixture of upcoming players and seasoned CS:GO pros. To show international ambition, C9 not only signed a roster for North America but also for South Korea. C9 continued to become a top contender in the esports field in North America.
FunPlus Phoenix
FPX entered the Valorant European roster in August 2022. Like every roster there is, they’ve also iterated and looked for the right combination of players. Winning VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen in 2022 was FPX’s greatest accomplishment.
