Summary
- The Teamfight Tactics meta for Set 14 has shifted to favor low-cost reroll comps after the balance changes in Patch 14.2.
- Vayne and Veigar’s 3-cost reroll comps are particularly strong, prioritizing getting 3-star low-cost champs over fast-leveling.
- Some Fast 8 comps like Zeri Exotech are still powerful despite the reroll meta due to buffs on some traits and items.
Is the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) low-cost reroll meta back? Fast 8 and Fast 9 comps like Divinicorp Zed and Strategist A.M.P. dominated the Set 14 opening patch. Yet, TFT meta is always changing, especially within the fast-paced neon landscape of Cyber City.
Your winning comps should be evolving too if you want to rank up consistently. Fortunately, new TFT Set 14 comps have become more viable after the Patch 14.2 balance changes. Let’s go over three of the best ones to help you climb the ranked ladder.
Vayne Reroll

Champions: Vayne, Senna, Jarvan IV, Sylas, Skarner/Rhaast, Zed, Leona
Synergies: Slayer (4), Vanguard (4), Anima Squad (3), Divinicorp (2 if playing Rhaast, 1 if Skarner)
Vayne Carry Items: Guinsoo’s Rageblade x2, flexible third item from: Giant Slayer, Runaan’s Hurricane, Hextech Gunblade, or Deathblade
Strategy:
Vayne reroll is overpowered among TFT Set 14 comps to play this meta. Play an Anima Squad opener by picking Vayne with Illaoi and Sylas. Prioritize components for Rageblade before leveling up to 4 on 2-1. You can lose streak to get Carousel priority for this, as Rageblade is her crucial item.
On level 4, complete the Vanguard or Slayer synergy. Level to 6 and roll on 3-2 to get Vayne to 3 stars. You can also try to 2-star a tank champion if you have enough gold. Roll for 3-star Jarvan IV and Senna on level 7.
If you’re taking too long to hit 3-star Vayne on level 6, check if you have enough copies. If you only need one or two more Vayne copies to hit 3 stars, level up to 7. On level 9, you can play Garen or complete the 6 Vanguard synergy.
Veigar Reroll

Champions: Veigar, Shyvana, Poppy, Ekko, Ziggs, Neeko, Brand, Virgo, Kobuko
Synergies: Cyberboss (4), Techie (4), Strategist (3), Street Demon (3), Bastion (2), Soul Killer (1)
Veigar Carry Items: Blue Buff, Nashor’s Tooth (or Jeweled Gauntlet), Hextech Gunblade (or Spear of Shojin)
Strategy:
Veigar reroll can beat other TFT Set 14 comps especially when played with Cyberboss augments. Play around the Bastion and Techie trait synergies as your opening board.
Your priority would be to get Blue Buff as soon as possible and item slam on Veigar. Veigar needs items early on to compensate for the lack of stars. For Shyvana, you can put three tank items like Warmog’s Armor, Dragon’s Claw, Sunfire Cape or Redemption. You’d want to level up to 6 on 3-2, then slow roll for 3-star Veigar and Shyvana.
Zeri Exotech

Champions: Zeri, Jhin, Sejuani, Varus, Naafiri, Mordekaiser, Jax, Kindred, Renekton, Galio
Synergies: Cyberboss (4), Techie (4), Strategist (3), Street Demon (3), Bastion (2), Soul Killer (1)
Zeri Carry Items: Exotech-Hollow Bow (or Deathblade), Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Exotech-Pulse Stabilizer (or Infinity Edge)
Strategy:
Play a 3 Exotech opener along with Kindred. Focus on Rageblade components and go on a lose streak if you don’t have enough before 2-1. Ideally, you want to have 5 Exotech units on your level 6 board. Add Zeri and Sejuani to complete 7 Exotech.
If you don’t get either Hollow Bow or Pulse Stabilizer, you can replace them with Deathblade and IE. However, if you don’t have both of them, you may consider pivoting back to 5 Exotech and going for 5-costs instead. You can replace Varus and Naafiri in your lineup. If you get tank Exotech items, put them on Mordekaiser or Sejuani.
Conclusion

Vayne Reroll is currently the strongest among TFT Set 14 comps. It’s consistently strong across all game modes and phases. Veigar Reroll, while relatively weak, scales well and becomes a late-game beast. On the other hand, Zeri Exotech’s Fast 8 strategy still holds strong after buffs to several exotech items.
As the TFT meta changes, you can experiment with new team compositions and strategies as well. Knowing how to adapt to adjustments on certain champions, traits, or items in each patch is already an advantage. Right now, mastering these three team comps can guarantee you a top 4 finish!
