Teamfight Tactics has dropped Patch 15.6, bringing several balance shifts, new power-ups, and meta-defining builds. While many new augments haven’t taken over yet, some strong returning comps have re-emerged with solid win rates. Here’s a full breakdown of the current TFT Patch 15.6 Tier List and what’s performing best this Friday.
S-Tier — Veteran Mentor Janna and Artifact Bastion Kog’Maw
Veteran Janna Mentor remains one of the best-performing comps. The build focuses on running four Mentors—Janna, Leona, Udyr, and either Yasuo or Ryze—with Blue Buff and Jeweled Gauntlet as must-have items on Janna. Veteran power-ups help unlock the full potential of the Mentor synergy even when missing specific units.
Meanwhile, Artifact Bastion Kog’Maw shines when equipped with artifacts like Statikk Shiv, Flickerblade, or Lich Bane. Without artifacts, the comp performs around B+, but once equipped, it easily climbs to S-tier. The build revolves around Kog’Maw and Swain, with Yasuo as a strong optional secondary carry. Portable Forge and Artifact Anvils are crucial here—these items massively boost win potential.
A-Tier — Akali, Mighty Mech, and Katarina Roll
Executioner Akali continues to dominate as a consistent A+ comp. Double Nashor’s Tooth and Quicksilver remain essential, ensuring constant casting and CC immunity. Pairing her with Ryze offers Executioner and Mentor traits while bolstering team utility.
Mighty Mech still holds ground thanks to buffs to Yone and five-unit Mech setups. Building around Lucian, Senna, and Karma allows strong early stability. However, the “I’ll Be the Head” augment can be risky unless the early-game economy supports fast leveling.
Katarina Roll returns as a strong two-cost reroll comp. With Edge of Night, Guardbreaker, and Hand of Justice, she excels in Battle Academia setups. Artifacts like Zhonya’s Paradox push her power further, while Radiant Hand of Justice is her premier radiant option.
A-Tier Continued — Mentor Volibear Ryze and Bastion Yasuo
The Mentor Volibear Ryze comp uses four Mentors and a Mech package for survival. Volibear and Ryze focus fire together, chaining Slam resets for fast kills. Efficient Icebender or Sky Piercer help cover missing Shred or Sunder effects. Positioning Udyr in the back ensures longer anti-heal uptime from his storm.
Bastion Yasuo thrives with either Sniper Focus or Bastion Emblem. His Wind Wall power-up makes him hard to punish, and bleed effects from Hemorrhage can wipe teams in seconds. Pair him with Swain for tank support and Leona or Braum in the late game. With six Bastions active, Yasuo becomes one of the patch’s safest carries.
B-Tier — Malzahar, Star Guardian, Soul Fighter, and Fast 9
Malzahar Heavyweights is one of the more creative comps this patch. With Noxious Trap power-up, he gains automatic Burn, Wound, and Sunder, making Blue Buff, Jeweled Gauntlet, and Rabadon’s Deathcap perfect fits. Darius and Jayce support him as heavy reroll units, while Blighting Jewel artifacts elevate this comp to S-tier potential in lucky games.
Star Guardian comps took a hit with nerfs to Ahri and general power-curve reductions. Still, Jinx and Poppy remain strong early stabilizers if a good start is found. Best Defense on Poppy and Gathering Force on Jinx are preferred fruits here.
Soul Fighter sits at the lower end of A-tier, relying heavily on Gwen or an emblem to reach eight Soul Fighters. Despite nerfs from 650 to 600 damage at eight, Samira with Spear of Shojin and Infinity Edge continues to be reliable.
Lastly, Fast 9 remains viable due to Crystal Gambit cash-outs, letting players pivot into top-tier comps like Janna Mentors or Executioner Akali once the economy stabilizes.
