The special sixth anniversary of Teamfight Tactics (TFT) led to a new patch note, adding spice to the current meta. TFT 14.6 patch notes delivered many major balance changes, return of Pengu’s Party and improvements. Here are the complete details of the recent updates in Riot Games’ TFT.

Anniversary Celebration and Game Modes

Pengu’s Party comeback to TFT became the highlight of the 14.6 patch notes which had many players excited. With this, players get to experience their favorite traits from past sets once again through this nostalgic game mode. The Pengu’s Party showcases how TFT meta evolved over the six years.

Meanwhile, Tocker’s Trials earn quality-of-life improvement by reducing difficulty for the 3-1 Zeri & Stattik Shiv round. This addresses player feedback about their challenging encounter, spoiling their experience. Moreover, there were also changes under loot system to counter the inflation while maintaining engagement.

Players will now earn more consistent rewards during the Stage 2, 3, and 4 PVE rounds. Also, this increased average item drops while decreasing the gold amounts. There are additional components to popular encounters such as Crab Rave and Scuttle Puddle.

Major Item and Artifact Overhauls

Riot added targeted adjustments to the item system, improving its balance and usability. With these, players will have to make changes in their current changes to accommodate previously weak items. These are the items that receive major changes, affecting their gameplay performance:

    • Spirit Visage: Receives a buff, increasing from 200 to 300 HP, making it a great early-game slam option.
    • Sterak’s Gage: Gets nerfed, reducing its shield from 60% to 50% HP and shortening its duration from 6 to 5 seconds.
    • Void Staff: Extended shred duration from 3 to 5 seconds, helping slower casters to maximize their effectiveness.
    • Radiant Guinsoo’s Rageblade: Gained increased attack speed from 20% to 30% alongside ability power to 30.
    • Radiant Spirit Visage: Gets tankier, raking up to 600 HP.
    • Stattik Shiv: Earned increased attack speed to 40%, ability power and base damage to 40.

Meanwhile, other artifacts received several buffs across the board such as The Indomitable and Titanic Hydra. Except for Flickerblade, which received a slight nerf from the recent 14.6 patch notes in TFT.

Champion Balance Changes Across All Tiers

Besides the items, TFT also sees major changes in the champion balance across all tiers. For the early game, Kog’Maw was nerfed after dominating as a 1-cost carry. They adjusted his AD scaling to 40/40/60/80%.

On the other hand, 2-cost tier received major buffs to improve their Reroll viability. Darius earned a massive healing increase and reduced damage falloff. Jhin also received a mana adjustment to 14/64 while Rhaast got base healing enhancement.

There were also 3-cost champions who received improvements such as Senna, Gragas and Varus. For Senna, her passive cleave damage raised to 45% AD while they reduced the mana cost for Gragas and Varus. With 4-cost units, they rebalanced Cho’Gath while buffing mana for Miss Fortune in Syndicate and Dynamo comps.

In the 5-cost tier, Garen significantly dropped mana costs to 20/80 for frequent use of Banwave ability. This now only costs 50 mana when hitting two or fewer enemies.

Trait Adjustments and Meta Shifts

Riot Games also introduced trait adjustments, allowing meta shifts with the recent TFT 14.6 patch notes. Dynamo’s team-wide mana regeneration got nerfed to 4/6/10, affecting the spamming of abilities. However, they added mana buffs for Dynamo’s champions such as Jhin and Miss Fortune.

They also reduced the late-game dominance of Golden Ox with a 6-piece component drop chance decreasing to 6%. For Exotech, they improved its scaling with HP Per Item to 50/160/300 and AS per item to 2/6/13%. They added defensive buffs for Syndicate to maintain its competitiveness among other traits.

Augment Updates and Bug Fixes

TFT 14.6 patch notes also updated augments and included bug fixes for technical issues encountered by players. Augments like Final Reserves get massive nerf after base XP reduction to 30. This decreases his overwhelming value in competitive play.

Meanwhile, Hard Commit slowed gold generation to 2 per stage from its previous 3 per stage. Champion-specific augments like Alter Ego also received improvements in this patch note.

Riot Games focused bug fixes on corrections to champions’ interaction and damage dealt for game balance. It includes corrections to Ziggs’ Cyber boss interaction and overflow damage in Double up for Statikk Shiv. They also made various tooltip corrections to make sure players get smoother gameplay experience.

Conclusion

That’s everything that was included in the recent TFT 14.6 patch notes, changing the current gameplay and meta. Many champions, items, and augments earned buffs from this sixth-anniversary patch. Moreover, it brings back the fun mode, Pengu’s Party, allowing players to enjoy reminiscing the comps from previous seasons.
