The Maximum is a unique long-range rifle introduced in Stalker 2: Cost of Hope, hidden inside the Module IB building in the CNPP region. Getting it requires access to CNPP, enough radiation protection to safely explore the building, and the four-digit code 2014 to open the locked room containing the weapon.
Once you’ve reached the appropriate point in the Cost of Hope story, the Maximum is relatively straightforward to collect.
Where to Find the Maximum Rifle
The Maximum is located inside the Module IB building in the CNPP region.
Before you can reach this part of the map, you’ll need to complete the main story quest The Road to the Center of the Storm, which grants access to CNPP.
Once CNPP is available, travel toward the southeastern section of the region and look for Module IB. The structure is a white building with an unlocked entrance on its side.
Before going inside, make sure Skif has sufficient radiation protection. Module IB contains high radiation levels, so a SEVA-based suit or better is recommended for exploring the interior safely.
What Is the Module IB Keypad Code?
Enter Module IB through the unlocked side door and follow the corridor deeper into the building.
Continue until you see a staircase on your right, then head upstairs. You’ll eventually reach a locked door controlled by a keypad.
The Module IB keypad code is 2014.

The door will unlock, giving you access to the room containing the Maximum rifle.
How to Pick Up the Maximum Rifle
Once the keypad door is open, enter the room and look for the workbench.
The Maximum unique rifle is sitting directly on top of it, so there are no additional puzzles or requirements after entering the correct code. Simply approach the workbench and collect the weapon.
The Maximum is designed for long-range combat and combines strong damage and accuracy with a relatively high rate of fire for its role. It also comes with several modifications already installed, including a silencer.
