Mr. Donpaw and the Ticket System
Mr. Donpaw runs the ticket system that gates nearly all rewards in Sonic Racing Crossworlds. After every race, players earn Donpaw tickets based on finishing position, CPU difficulty, and achievements like collecting the most rings. These tickets unlock stickers, titles, vehicles, auras, horns, and skins.
The real prize for many is the AI racer skins, which can be unlocked by donating tickets in the friendship menu. Leveling a character to four unlocks their alternate skin, the same ones faced in Race Park missions. Super Sonic also pairs well with the Extreme Gear board and Supersonic speed class. Racing against maximum-level rivals gives the highest ticket payout—25 per match at max difficulty. While that challenge can be punishing, Super Sonic’s invincibility smooths out the process, letting players consistently place at the top.
Best Grand Prix for Red Star Rings and Tickets
For those aiming at efficiency, the Donpaw Grand Prix is the best pick. The red star rings in the early stages are easier to collect, and finishing all of them awards bonus tickets. A full Grand Prix run can net up to 115 tickets, making it the most consistent farming route.
Online races are another option, offering decent ticket rewards for high placements. But lag, chaotic matchups, and waiting between lobbies often make this slower than solo Grand Prix farming. For steady progress, sticking with Grand Prix rivals remains the most reliable path.
Festivals and Limited-Time Events
Upcoming festivals add another layer of opportunity. Sega has already confirmed events like the Hatsune Miku festival from October 3–6, which includes a mini battle pass with Donpaw ticket rewards. These seasonal events may prove to be the fastest way to earn large amounts of tickets in bursts, so it’s worth jumping into them whenever they go live.
Even with the best methods, it’s a grind. Some players report 40+ hours just to unlock a handful of skins like Silver and Shadow. But with focused runs on Donpaw Grand Prix and a watchful eye on festivals, collecting Sonic, Shadow, Silver, and beyond becomes much more achievable.
