How to Unlock Mushrooms in Schedule 1

Before you can start your mushroom operation, you have to unlock access to Fungal Phil first. Fungal Phil is the new supplier you’ll find in the Downtown area, specializing in mycology supplies. After accessing the Downtown, Fungal Phil will appear in your supplier menu to initiate the “Vibing on the Cybin” quest. 

It serves as an introductory quest teaching you the basics of mushroom cultivation. Also, the quest is direct as it only serves as a tutorial for mushroom growing mechanics. Fungal Phil will walk you through the entire process until your first harvest. 

Required Equipment and Supplies

To set up your mushroom operation, you have to purchase items from multiple vendors first. So, here are the items you have to buy as organized by the supplier:

Make sure to maintain equal quantities of all three items when ordering from Fungal Phil. Buy 1 Spore Syringe and 1 Mushroom Substrate to match every Grain Bag. This ration ensures you won’t run out of any crucial supplies mid-production.

Also, prioritize buying the Mushroom Spawn Station and Mushroom Box from Oscar first if you have limited funds. Afterwards, grab a spray bottle and AC unit from the hardware store. To save up money, you can even use your old trimmers.

Step-by-Step Mushroom Growing Process

After having all the necessary equipment, you can start following these steps to grow your first batch of mushrooms:

1. 1. Place the Mushroom Spawn Station in your hideout.
   2. Interact with it then insert both a Grain Bag and a Spore Syringe into available slots.
   3. Then, remove the cap from the Spore Syringe before injecting it into the Grain Bag through the black square.
   4. Tilt the syringe with the “A” and “D” buttons on your keyboard.
   5. Afterwards, push the plunger down and wait for a few minutes to produce Shrooms Spawn.
   6. Make sure to place your Mushroom Box near the Spawn Station.
   7. Apply Mushroom Substrate to the box, filling it with nutrient-rich soil.
   8. Take your fresh Shrooms Spawn and place it into the box.
   9. Break the spawn into 16 individual chunks then distribute them evenly under your substrate layer.
   10. Fill your spray bottle with water from any tap in your hideout.
   11. Spray your Mushroom Box and make sure to hit five different spots.
   12. Each full spray increases your mushroom growth by 56% so there’s no need to spray twice.
   13. Place an AC unit in the same room and set it to cool mode.
   14. Simply click on the mushrooms to harvest them once they are fully grown.
   15. Finally, store them in sachets or baggies before selling them to customers.
