How to Repair Your Trampler in Sand: Raiders of Sophie

Your Trampler is the centerpiece of every expedition in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. It serves as your transportation, mobile base, and primary defense while exploring the desert. Since it’s constantly exposed to enemy attacks from both Automatrons and rival players, knowing how to repair damage is essential if you want to survive longer raids.

Use the Multi-Tool for Minor Repairs

Not every hit requires extensive repairs. After each encounter, it’s worth inspecting your Trampler for smaller issues before moving on.

Exit the driver’s seat, open your equipment wheel, and equip the Multi-Tool, which is designed for routine maintenance.

As you move through the vehicle, listen for the sound of escaping air. Damaged pipes often produce a noticeable hissing noise and may be located near the reactor or inside different compartments, depending on where your Trampler was hit.

The Multi-Tool can repair:

  • Leaking pipes
  • Minor metal damage
  • Small structural defects

Taking care of these problems after every fight helps prevent more serious issues from developing during longer expeditions.

Use Repair Kits for Major Damage

Large holes in your Trampler require more than the Multi-Tool can handle.

Heavy weapons and explosive attacks can destroy walls, compartments, and railings, leaving significant gaps in your vehicle’s structure. To restore these sections, you’ll need a Repair Kit.

Repair Kits can be found while exploring the wasteland, particularly by:

  • Looting landmarks
  • Defeating Automatrons that appear after Watchtower alerts

Unlike standard loot, Repair Kits are carried by hand rather than stored in your inventory.

Turn Off the Reactor Before Repairing

Before repairing major structural damage, you’ll need to shut down the Trampler’s reactor.

The reactor is located beneath the vehicle’s chimney. Once it’s powered down, carry the Repair Kit to the damaged section and begin repairs.

Each Repair Kit contains three repair charges, allowing you to restore multiple damaged areas before the kit is consumed.

Because Repair Kits are relatively valuable, it’s best to save them for destroyed compartments and major hull breaches instead of using them on cosmetic or minor damage.

Repair in a Safe Location

Repairs leave you vulnerable, so avoid performing maintenance while enemies are nearby.

Before exiting your Trampler:

  • Move to a secure location.
  • Eliminate nearby threats.
  • Repair leaks first with the Multi-Tool.
  • Use Repair Kits only if major structural damage is present.

Taking a few extra moments to repair safely is far less risky than attempting maintenance while under fire.

Keep Your Trampler Ready for Every Expedition

Regular maintenance is one of the simplest ways to improve your survival rate in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Fixing leaking pipes with the Multi-Tool after each battle helps keep your vehicle operating efficiently, while carrying a Repair Kit ensures you’re prepared for major damage when tougher encounters occur.

Using the appropriate repair tool for each type of damage—and remembering to power down the reactor before large repairs—will keep your Trampler in fighting condition throughout even the longest expeditions.

Have your say!
