Cars are a major part of progression in RUNAWAYS, where escaping with your loot matters just as much as stealing it. The right vehicle can make police chases, border crossings, and the long drive to Mexico considerably easier, while successful escapes generate the Credz needed for permanent upgrades. There are currently seven vehicles to choose from, ranging from the free Claptima to the 550,000-Credz Reventador and premium Floppy Truck.
How Vehicles Work in RUNAWAYS
RUNAWAYS is an open-world Roblox crime and escape game from supercat games. Each run revolves around committing robberies, selling stolen goods, managing supplies, surviving police attention, and traveling south through every border until you successfully reach Mexico.
The basic progression loop is:
Rob locations → sell loot → buy supplies and fuel → travel south → cross borders → reach Mexico → earn Credz
Cash and Credz are separate currencies. Cash is earned during an active run, including by selling loot at TrashAmerica Pawn. Your performance—including Cash earned, distance traveled, wanted level, and borders crossed—contributes to the reward for completing the escape.
Credz are the permanent progression currency and can be spent from the lobby on vehicles, classes, weapons, and other unlocks.
This makes survival important. An enormous haul isn’t particularly valuable for long-term progression if you get caught before completing the escape.
All Cars in RUNAWAYS Ranked
There are currently seven vehicles listed in the post-Update 1 lineup. Each has different Speed, Acceleration, Handling, and Armor ratings.
| Rank | Vehicle | Price | Speed | Acceleration | Handling | Armor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Reventador | 550,000 Credz | 8 | 8 | 9 | 0 |
| 2 | Floppy Truck | 1,079 Robux | 7 | 7 | 7 | 5 |
| 3 | Charged | 90,000 Credz | 5 | 6 | 5 | 0 |
| 4 | T-1000 | 220,000 Credz | 5 | 4 | 3 | 3 |
| 5 | Mudrunner | 179 Robux | 4 | 6 | 7 | 3 |
| 6 | Chunk Mover | 15,000 Credz | 3 | 3 | 3 | 1 |
| 7 | Claptima | Free | 2 | 3 | 4 | 0 |
Cars can be purchased from the Vehicle Smuggler in the main lobby using either Credz or Robux, depending on the vehicle.
The ranking above prioritizes overall usefulness rather than one individual statistic. For example, the Reventador dominates in raw performance but has no Armor, while the Floppy Truck sacrifices some speed for considerably better survivability.
Best RUNAWAYS Car for Every Budget
The best car isn’t necessarily the most expensive one. New players benefit more from learning the map and escape route before committing hundreds of thousands of Credz to an endgame vehicle.
Best Free Car: Claptima
The Claptima is slow, but it’s perfectly adequate for learning RUNAWAYS.
Its biggest advantage is that it costs nothing. Early on, your priority should be understanding robbery routes, police behavior, border crossings, and fuel management rather than immediately replacing your starter vehicle.
Saving your Credz instead of making a small early upgrade can get you to the genuinely useful vehicles faster.
Best Value Car: Charged
At 90,000 Credz, the Charged is arguably the best first major vehicle purchase.
Its 5 Speed, 6 Acceleration, and 5 Handling represent a substantial improvement over the starter options. That additional acceleration is particularly useful during police encounters, while its balanced performance makes long-distance driving easier.
The major weakness is zero Armor. Players who frequently crash or take heavy vehicle damage may prefer something more durable.
Best Armored Credz Car: T-1000
The T-1000 costs 220,000 Credz and exchanges some of the Charged’s agility for additional protection.
With 3 Armor, it is a safer choice for players who routinely lose promising runs because their vehicle takes too much punishment. Its acceleration and handling are relatively modest, however, so the T-1000 isn’t automatically an upgrade for confident drivers.
Think of it as the defensive alternative to the Charged rather than a straight performance upgrade.
Best Endgame Credz Car: Reventador
The Reventador is the performance king of the current Credz lineup.
Its stats are exceptional:
| Stat | Rating |
|---|---|
| Speed | 8 |
| Acceleration | 8 |
| Handling | 9 |
| Armor | 0 |
That combination makes the Reventador extremely effective for covering long distances and escaping pursuit, provided you can keep it under control.
The catch is its 550,000-Credz price and complete lack of Armor. It’s best treated as an endgame purchase for experienced players rather than something beginners should immediately grind toward at the expense of every other upgrade.
Best Premium Car: Floppy Truck
The Floppy Truck costs 1,079 Robux and offers one of the strongest all-around stat profiles.
It combines 7 Speed, Acceleration, and Handling with 5 Armor. Unlike the Reventador, it doesn’t force players to choose between high performance and durability.
For players willing to spend Robux on a vehicle, that balance makes the Floppy Truck the strongest premium all-rounder among the listed options.
Best Car Upgrade Path
For players progressing entirely through Credz, an efficient route is:
Claptima → Charged → T-1000 or Reventador
The Chunk Mover isn’t essential. Its 15,000-Credz price looks attractive when you’re starting out, but its improvements are modest enough that saving those Credz toward the Charged generally offers better long-term value.
Whether you buy the T-1000 after the Charged depends on your playstyle. Players who want additional durability can make the intermediate upgrade, while confident drivers can save directly for the Reventador.
How to Farm Credz Fast in RUNAWAYS
Update 1 expanded the ways players can earn permanent progression, so efficient Credz farming is no longer just about repeating one activity.
The best approach combines Daily Rewards, quests, profitable robberies, border crossings, distance bonuses, wanted level, and successful escapes.
Claim Daily Rewards and Check Quests First
Before starting a run, check your available quests and collect the Daily Reward.
Update 1 introduced a seven-day reward track containing Credz, weapons, and equipment. The listed rewards begin with 1,000 Credz on Day 1, while reaching Day 7 awards a Minigun.
Daily quests are particularly useful because many can be completed alongside your normal robbery route. Checking them before leaving the lobby lets you work toward additional rewards without significantly changing how you play.
Prioritize Profitable Robbery Targets
During a run, steal as much as you safely can without turning every location into a lengthy detour.
Update 1 increased payouts from several robbery sources, including:
- ATMs
- Safes
- Registers
- Mailboxes
- Trash
Focus on valuable targets that are conveniently positioned along your escape route. Spending too much time clearing low-value loot can expose you to additional police pressure without meaningfully improving your final reward.
Cross All Four Borders
Border progression directly contributes to the final payout.
That means a complete southbound run is significantly more valuable than robbing extensively and failing early. Whenever possible, prioritize continuing toward Mexico rather than taking unnecessary risks for one more robbery.
Maximize Your Distance Bonus
Distance traveled also improves your final Credz payout.
This naturally rewards successful full-map escapes, making survival-oriented play more efficient for permanent progression than repeatedly performing short robbery runs.
Increase Wanted Level Only When You Can Survive It
A higher wanted level can increase your eventual reward, but it also makes completing the run more dangerous.
Experienced players can use this to improve Credz efficiency. Beginners should be more conservative. Deliberately pushing toward maximum police attention makes little sense if it consistently prevents you from reaching Mexico.
RUNAWAYS Codes for Extra Credz
Players can also supplement their earnings with redeemable codes.
The RUN code is listed as providing 1,000 Credz, while SUPERCAT awards a Pistol.
Codes can expire, so they should be viewed as occasional bonuses rather than a dependable Credz farming method.
How Update 1 Changed the RUNAWAYS Economy
Update 1 significantly reworked progression by reducing several expensive vehicle prices while slightly increasing Credz earnings.
The biggest vehicle price changes include:
| Vehicle | Previous Price | Update 1 Price |
|---|---|---|
| Charged | 150,000 Credz | 90,000 Credz |
| T-1000 | 400,000 Credz | 220,000 Credz |
| Reventador | 1,000,000 Credz | 550,000 Credz |
The update also introduced Daily Quests, Daily Rewards, redeemable codes, improved robbery payouts, easier refueling, the Mudrunner, and several interface improvements.
Together, those changes make the stronger permanent vehicles considerably more attainable than they were under the original economy.
Common RUNAWAYS Vehicle and Credz Mistakes
One of the easiest mistakes is buying the Chunk Mover immediately simply because it’s cheap. The Claptima is enough to learn the game, and saving directly for the 90,000-Credz Charged produces a much more noticeable improvement.
Players should also be careful about repeatedly spending permanent progression resources on equipment that only helps individual runs. Expensive weapons can be useful, but permanent vehicles generally provide greater long-term value when you’re still building your account.
The Crowbar can be an exception when your preferred robbery route depends on breaking into profitable targets such as ATMs and registers. Otherwise, expensive equipment purchases are best saved for when you can already complete escapes consistently.
Buying the Reventador too early can cause similar problems. Its performance is outstanding, but zero Armor means mistakes remain expensive. Players still struggling with crashes, route planning, or police encounters may get better results from the Charged or armored T-1000.
Most importantly, don’t sacrifice an otherwise successful escape for one extra robbery. RUNAWAYS rewards players for completing the entire journey, and reaching Mexico with a slightly smaller haul is generally better for Credz progression than getting caught while trying to squeeze every last dollar out of a run.
