RoadCraft Rebuild Expansion Release Date and Features

The RoadCraft Rebuild Expansion arrives on September 4, 2025, bringing new maps, trucks, and a hard mode for those seeking an extra challenge. Saber Interactive confirmed the update alongside the launch of SnowRunner Season 16: High Voltage, kicking off the Year 5 Pass and adding plenty of content for RoadCraft players.

RoadCraft Rebuild Expansion Adds New Maps

The update introduces two detailed maps: Contamination and Washout.

  • Contamination features 23 infrastructure requests, 39 objectives, and 22 side objectives. It tasks players with clearing hazardous materials, fixing water systems, and even helping a hermit find a missing toolbox.

  • Washout comes with 24 infrastructure requests, 32 objectives, and 11 side objectives. The map focuses on recovering lost supplies and containing flooding caused by a nearby dam.

Both maps add significant replay value and are designed with complex objectives for players seeking a fresh challenge.

Seven New Trucks in the Rebuild Expansion

The RoadCraft Rebuild Expansion brings seven new truck variants and improvements to existing models:

  • Armiger Thunder “Expedition” – A tougher, off-road-ready upgrade of the Armiger Thunder.

  • Muel T1 “Trailblazer” – Features chunkier wheels, off-road upgrades, and expedition-style roof gear.

  • Tayga 6455B Bridge Layer – A six-metre detachable bridge for navigating smaller gaps.

  • TUZ 119 “Mutt” – A rugged, modified version of the TUZ 119 “Lynx” with a unique exhaust and styling.

  • Vostok MU-97 “Ant” Bridge Layer – Includes a 12-metre bridge and tracks for better off-road use, plus a rusty variant.

  • Wayfarer ST7050 – A free convoy truck carrying extra fuel, especially useful for hard mode challenges.

These trucks provide both cosmetic variety and enhanced gameplay functionality, making convoy coordination and terrain handling more engaging.

Hard Mode Brings New Gameplay Challenges

One of the biggest additions in the RoadCraft Rebuild Expansion is the optional hard mode. Players can adjust difficulty using sliders for:

  • Fuel consumption rates

  • Convoy frequency and difficulty

  • Gearbox settings

  • Bridge construction costs

  • Vehicle and recovery costs

Hard mode introduces realistic fuel usage, manual gear control inspired by SnowRunner, and road degradation caused by frequent convoys. With these mechanics, planning routes and managing resources become critical to success.

UI Adjustments and Quality of Life Changes

The expansion also updates the HUD and controller settings for better accessibility. Players can now choose between multiple HUD modes:

  • Default for a full interface

  • Immersive for a cleaner layout

  • Markers Only for minimal UI elements

  • Hidden Mode for full realism, removing all on-screen data

Controller support is improved via Steam’s Public Test Server, allowing smoother gameplay for those preferring analog controls. Combined with hard mode and new maps, these tweaks make the overall experience more customizable.
