All Blade Locations in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has eight blades to collect across its story, and finding them all unlocks the Plunderer trophy. Some weapons are obtained automatically as Sophia progresses, while others are hidden in optional areas or locked inside tombs that require light-based puzzles. Each blade also provides a unique combat skill, making the collection useful beyond trophy completion.

All Blades and Skills in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Blades can be equipped from the menu, allowing you to switch weapons depending on the combat situation. You can also change equipment after losing a fight, which is useful if another blade’s special ability is better suited to a particular encounter.

Blade Chapter Skill
Rusty Sword 1 Nothing Remarkable
Falchion 2 Bonus blade damage after a successful Critical Strike
Hero’s Blade 2 Bonus blade damage after a successful Critical Strike
Kopis 4 Final combo hit delivers a powerful blow dealing stun damage
Greek Sword 5 Replaces Critical Strikes with a sweeping spin that damages nearby enemies
Sica 6 Killing an enemy increases the Focus Gauge
Khopesh 7 Final combo hit inflicts a serious wound that deals damage over time
Broken Spear 9 Sprint Attacks can pierce guards and shields to deal damage
Xiphos 10 Parries inflict more stun damage, but Sophia can no longer block

The Hero’s Blade is part of the Pre-Order Heritage Pack and shares its ability with the Falchion.

Rusty Sword Location – Chapter 1

The Rusty Sword is Sophia’s starting weapon, so there is nothing you need to find.

She uses it during training and early missions in Chapter 1, and it is automatically available from the beginning of the game.

Its skill is appropriately called Nothing Remarkable, making this the basic weapon against which the more specialized blades can be compared.

Falchion and Hero’s Blade Location – Chapter 2

The Falchion becomes available during Chapter 2 while Sophia is sneaking through the carnival.

Continue progressing until Sophia removes her mask and draws the weapon. The Falchion is obtained as part of this sequence rather than through an optional puzzle or hidden area.

Players who own the Pre-Order Heritage Pack will also have access to the Hero’s Blade here.

Both weapons provide the same effect: landing a successful Critical Strike causes the blade to deal additional damage afterward.

Kopis Location – Chapter 4

The Kopis is another straightforward blade to obtain.

During Chapter 4, Sophia and Leni will narrowly escape a spike trap. Continue into the next room immediately afterward to find the Kopis.

Its skill changes the final attack of a combo into a stronger strike that deals additional stun damage, making it useful for players who regularly complete full attack chains.

Greek Sword Location – Chapter 5

The Greek Sword is the first blade that requires a more involved detour and puzzle.

During Chapter 5, you’ll encounter the section where Sophia needs to determine the first symbol required to open the large door. Instead of continuing forward toward the main puzzle, turn left.

Jump across to the cliff and follow the path until you reach an abandoned camp. You’ll find three locations where the sphere’s light needs to be directed.

Climb the nearby cliff beside the camp to reach the top of the columns. From here, move toward the far-left corner to get the necessary angle.

Align the sphere’s colors with all three targets. Once they’re correctly positioned, the grave will open.

Enter the tomb and collect the Greek Sword.

Equipping it fundamentally changes Sophia’s Critical Strike mechanic. She stops using her dagger for Critical Strikes and instead performs a sweeping spin that damages enemies surrounding her.

Sica Location – Chapter 6

The Sica is hidden shortly after obtaining Daedalus’s secret key in Chapter 6.

Use the key and open the door required to continue the story. Once through it, don’t follow the main route forward. Turn left instead and enter the long tunnel.

Follow the passage until you arrive in a chamber containing several light targets.

Climb onto the central platform on the left side of the room and use the sphere. Two of its colors can be aligned directly with their corresponding positions, while the third must reach its target through a small reflector.

Once all three lights are correctly placed, the tomb opens and you can collect the Sica.

The weapon rewards aggressive play by increasing Sophia’s Focus Gauge whenever she kills an enemy with it.

Khopesh Location – Chapter 7

The Khopesh is found while crossing the battlefield in Chapter 7.

Continue until Sophia crawls through a narrow opening and destroys part of the ground to make her way out. Once you’re back in the open, turn left and look for the enormous skull.

Approach the nearby plate, but position Sophia slightly to its side rather than directly in front of it. Use the sphere to align all three lights with their corresponding targets.

Completing the light puzzle opens the tomb containing the Khopesh.

Its special ability causes the final strike of a combo to inflict a serious wound, dealing additional damage over time.

Broken Spear Location – Chapter 9

The Broken Spear appears during the creature chase in Chapter 9, so you’ll need to watch for the detour while dealing with the surrounding danger.

Continue until you witness a nearby soldier die. Afterward, sneak out of the room and head left instead of continuing along the main route.

Carefully climb onto the platform and move toward the light.

Unlike several previous collectible weapons, there is no light puzzle to solve here. The tomb is already open, so enter it and pick up the Broken Spear.

The weapon gives Sophia’s Sprint Attack the ability to pierce enemy guards and shields while still inflicting damage.

Xiphos Location – Chapter 10

The final collectible blade is the Xiphos, found during Chapter 10.

When Sophia and Faro are searching for a route inside the mountain, you’ll reach a puzzle required for story progression. Before solving it, continue toward the far end of the area beside the high water.

Turn left to enter a cave and climb upward until you can use the sphere to activate the light sources.

While facing the tomb, move right and climb onto the platform. From there, direct the three lights toward their targets.

One target is obstructed by broken vases. Destroy them to clear the path for the light, then finish aligning the sphere to open the grave.

Enter the tomb and collect the Xiphos.

Its ability strengthens Sophia’s parrying playstyle by increasing the stun damage inflicted through parries. The trade-off is significant, however: Sophia loses the ability to block while the Xiphos is equipped.

How to Unlock the Plunderer Trophy

The Plunderer trophy is awarded for collecting the full set of required blades throughout Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

Most are difficult to miss if you thoroughly explore optional routes, but the Greek Sword, Sica, Khopesh, Broken Spear, and Xiphos deserve particular attention because they’re positioned away from the most direct story path.

The final collectible appears in Chapter 10, so players following the locations in chapter order can complete the blade collection without having to constantly switch between different sections of the story.
