The PUBG EMEA Championship: Fall has reached its first Finals weekend, and there is far more at stake than another regional trophy. Sixteen teams are fighting across 15 matches for the PEC: Fall Finals 1 title, crucial PUBG Global Championship points, and momentum heading into the final stretch of the 2026 season.
The three-day Finals 1 event runs from September 18 through September 20, with PUBG using its familiar SUPER scoring format. Placement points and kills are combined across all 15 matches, meaning one explosive game will not be enough to win the weekend.
Consistency is everything.
That creates an interesting battle between established organizations such as Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, Team Vitality and Twisted Minds and a collection of teams hoping to disrupt the EMEA hierarchy.
16 teams are fighting in PEC Fall Finals 1
The Finals 1 lobby features:
| Team | Team | Team | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| S8UL | 09 | Team Vitality | S2G Esports |
| ACEND Club | PGG | Joga Bonito | noslack |
| Virtus.pro | Everlong | Bushido Wildcats | Big John |
| Twisted Minds | Vis | Natus Vincere | Team Kazakhstan |
That lineup gives the tournament plenty of recognizable names, but the format leaves little room for reputation to matter.
Every placement and every elimination contributes to the final leaderboard.
After 15 matches, the team with the highest combined points total will become the first PEC: Fall champion of this split.
PGC Points make every match matter
The bigger story is qualification for the PUBG Global Championship 2026.
PEC Fall Finals 1 and Finals 2 represent the final opportunities for EMEA teams to collect PGC Points this season.
Those points will help determine which teams earn places at the global championship in Istanbul, where 32 teams are expected to compete for a prize pool exceeding $1.5 million.
That means a team does not necessarily need to win this weekend for Finals 1 to be successful.
A strong points haul could prove just as valuable once the final regional standings are calculated.
With another Playoffs weekend still scheduled before Finals 2 in early October, the EMEA qualification race is entering its decisive phase. The official PUBG Esports schedule currently lists PEC: Fall as an ongoing event through October 4.
Türkiye’s PGC wildcard adds another twist
There is also an additional route into the Global Championship for Turkish teams.
Because PGC 2026 is being held in Türkiye, one team from the host region will receive a direct wildcard place.
PUBG says the selection will take performances across the year and additional criteria into account, making regional events such as PEC especially important.
There is another wrinkle.
If a Turkish team already qualifies through PGC Points, that team will receive the host wildcard instead, and its normal EMEA qualification position will pass to the next eligible team in the regional standings.
If multiple Turkish teams qualify through points, the highest-ranked of them receives the wildcard.
Today’s PUBG Drop is the Varsity Jacket
Viewers also have a reason to watch even if they are not following the PGC standings closely.
PUBG is running daily Twitch and Kick Drops throughout Finals 1.
Players need 120 minutes of cumulative viewing time on an eligible PEC or PAS broadcast during the relevant day to unlock the reward.
The Finals 1 rewards are:
- September 18: THE ORIGINAL IS BACK T-Shirt
- September 19: Peculiar Greeting
- September 20: PUBG Varsity Jacket
The official PEC broadcast begins at 18:00 CEST, while G-Coin codes are also being distributed during the broadcasts.
For anyone watching on September 20, the Varsity Jacket is therefore the current reward.
Double Drops are coming for Finals 2
PUBG originally planned additional Drops for the first Playoffs weekend, but technical problems prevented them from going live.
Those rewards have not been canceled.
Instead, they have been moved to the second Finals weekend from October 2 through October 4, where they will run alongside the Drops that were already planned for Finals 2.
That effectively turns the final PEC weekend into a double-Drop event for viewers.
PEC Fall is entering its most important stretch
Finals 1 is only one stage of PEC: Fall, but it arrives at the point where every result begins to carry long-term consequences.
NAVI and Virtus.pro enter among the established names, while Twisted Minds, Vitality and the rest of the 16-team field have their own opportunity to build a serious PGC qualification run.
For players watching rather than competing, September 20 also offers one of the more useful Drops of the weekend with the PUBG Varsity Jacket.
For the teams in the lobby, though, cosmetics are the last thing on their minds.
The race to Istanbul is running out of weekends.
