Like previous entries, Pokémon Legends ZA includes a Mystery Gift system that lets players claim free rewards — from Poké Balls and rare items to exclusive Pokémon. Some gifts are distributed automatically through an internet connection, while others require a code, usually from pre-orders or DLC bonuses.
How to Unlock Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Legends ZA
Mystery Gifts become available after completing Main Mission 3: A New Life in Lumiose City. During this quest, players meet Mable at the Pokémon Research Lab. After finishing her research task, the Link Play option appears in the main menu (press X to open it). Inside Link Play, the Mystery Gift feature can be found under Link Trade.
Once unlocked, players can start redeeming rewards either via internet connection or with a unique Mystery Gift code — both requiring online access.
How to Redeem Pokémon Legends ZA Mystery Gifts
After unlocking the menu, three options appear:
-
Get via Internet – Instantly receive any active Mystery Gifts that don’t need a code.
-
Get with Code/Password – Input a one-time code from your email or receipt.
-
Check Mystery Gifts – Review previously redeemed rewards.
Selecting Get with Code/Password opens an entry screen. Once the code is accepted, a small animation plays, and the reward is automatically delivered to your bag or Pokémon storage.
