How to Access the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest

Before you can join in the quiz, you have to complete several requirements first. These tasks will determine whether you are eligible to the promotion match against Canari towards Rank E.

1. Defeat the three Rogue Mega Pokemon through Lumiose City: Mega Slowbro, Mega Camerupt, and Mega Victreebel.
2. Battle against Naveen to reveal contest location and begin main mission 14.

You can find the contest entrance at the Electrical Substation in the Magenta Sector 6 northwest section. It is next to the Saison Canal so upon arriving you have to provide a special password to the guard. Simply tell them “Let’s,” “Go,” “DYN4MO,” to gain access to the location. Here, Naveen will assist you throughout the quiz using her earpiece.

Round 1: True or False Questions

In the first round, you must determine the correct answer for the three true or false questions about Canari. If your answer is True, then stand on the green space provided. Meanwhile, if you answer False, head over to the red space.

However, if you’re unsure, you can follow superfan Mani to the correct spot or just rely on Naveen’s help. 

Round 2: The Scavenger Hunt Challenge

Off to the second round, a much difficult challenge is awaiting you that you have to conquer. Canari wants you to find a special treat for her partner Pokemon, Eelektross. The catch here is it isn’t just any ordinary dessert but a Super Lumiose Galette.

1. 1. Go to the Cafe Gallant which is in the south of Magenta Sector 1 on Estival Avenue. While the map marker will guide you, it is in the southwest of the third Nouveau Cafe truck and Wild Zone 5 northwest.
   2. After arriving, a cutscene plays where Naveen asks about Eelektross’ most defining trait.
   3. Any answer will allow you to progress through the dialogue. However, the correct answer is “its fangs?”
   4. Then, Naveen will give you the Super Lumiose Galette.
   5. Return to the Electrical Substation and submit the treat.
   6. This starts the battle with Superfan Mani to proceed to the final question.

Round 3: Battle and Final Question

Mani’s team mainly consists of three Electric-type Pokémon that you need to defeat. This particular lineup includes the following:

Use their type weaknesses to your advantage and quickly secure your victory. After defeating Mani, Canari will pop the final question:

“When I was a kid, I played my first games on a laptop. Who owned that laptop?” 

There are four choices you may choose from in this sequence. However, the right answer will be “My Grandpa,” which Naveen confirms through your earpiece. It unfolds the tragic story behind the answer.

Battling Canari and Your Rewards

After passing the quiz, you can finally face Canari at the Racing Construction, Vert District. But, you must pass through Tarragon first which is equipped with Hippowdon, Excadrill, and Diggersby. Once you’re done defeating Tarragon, you have to fight against four powerful Electric-type Pokemon of Canari.

Upon your victory, Canari will reward you with the TM for Volt Switch which is an Electric-type move. It allows your Pokemon to attack and even switch out immediately. Also, it opens up your journey to Rank E, eventually higher ranks in Pokemon Legends ZA.
