Pokémon Legends Z-A Leak Reveals Storm Emeralda Set

Pokémon Legends: Z-A has finally arrived after years of anticipation, bringing Mega Evolutions, new regions, and a wave of leaks that continue to excite fans right before launch. The latest discussion from Centro Leaks suggests a major tie between Mega Zygarde, an upcoming TCG set, and the DLC expansion expected to drop in late 2025.

Mega Zygarde and the Storm Emeralda Expansion

Centro Leaks revealed that Storm Emeralda is the trademarked name for the January 2026 Pokémon TCG expansion in Japan, centered around Mega Zygarde. The name “Emeralda” likely references Zygarde’s green color palette and crystalline design. Originally, many fans believed this could have been a new Rayquaza set, but leaks confirm the focus is squarely on Zygarde.

The DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expected to release after launch, possibly around December 2025, giving players access to a broader set of Mega Evolutions. Unlike some, Mega Zygarde is part of the base game, not locked behind DLC content. The expansion, however, could bring additional Megas like Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, which are rumored to appear during endgame events.

Mega Evolutions List and Design Details

Artist Icy Boy compiled an impressive visual lineup of every known and rumored Mega Evolution. Officially revealed designs like Chesnaught, Victreebel, and Dragonite match what fans have seen in pre-release footage. Other unconfirmed names like Scolipede, Excadrill, and Eelektross are gaining attention due to their potential inclusion in future updates.

Mega Zygarde’s design, in particular, stands out. It resembles a weaponized evolution of the Prism Tower — possibly a new ultimate weapon powered by mysterious Lumiose energy. Leaks indicate the Prism Tower may play a large narrative role, potentially tying the story’s climax to Mega Zygarde’s transformation sequence.

Storyline Speculation and DLC Structure

Centro Leaks also teased that the game’s DLC will act as a direct sequel to the main story, implying that events transition seamlessly between the base campaign and its expansion. One theory suggests that Mabel’s outfit, which features Hoopa rings, could foreshadow dimensional travel or portal-based mechanics.

Fans like SoulSilver Art have also highlighted these Hoopa symbols as a possible connection between the main story and the DLC. There’s speculation that the DLC could introduce an alternate dimension featuring Mega Raichu forms, potentially accessed through the portal that appears in the game’s finale. Whether these forms will be exclusive to the DLC or accessible post-story remains to be seen.

TCG Set and Generation 10 Rumors

The Storm Emeralda TCG expansion is expected to showcase many of these new Mega Evolutions, aligning with the in-game releases of Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its DLC. While some fans hoped for Mega Rayquaza EX, Centro Leaks clarified that the set will focus only on Zygarde, though Rayquaza might still appear in future expansions.

Additionally, rumors of Generation 10 have started circulating. Alleged leaks about new starter Pokémon and a teaser reveal at Pokémon Day 2026 were quickly dismissed by Centro Leaks as fake. Still, the community anticipates a short announcement video, similar to the animated reveal of Lumiose City for Legends: Z-A. The real gameplay showcase for Gen 10 is expected later in mid-2026.
