Phasmophobia Complete 2025 Roadmap

What’s waiting for your 2025 with Phasmophobia? It seems a busy year for any player since the official release of the cooperative ghost-hunting game. See what Kinetic Games will bring based on their Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap.

The Chronicle Update: A New Way to Collect Evidence

Brace yourselves for “The Chronicle Update” which is bound to be the game’s first major update since release. Based on Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap, this will completely overhaul multiple current core gameplay systems. This is their attempt to introduce a new equipment in the game which is the Sound Recorder. The new item detects and records paranormal audio phenomena during hunts by investigators.

Besides, it also features visual indicators to help locate the direction of sound sources. The Sound Recorder automatically begins its recording once players get close to the audio source. Investigators can access the recordings through their journals as part of their evidence collection.

The Chronicle Update will also revamp the existing evidence collection system Phasmophobia. They’ll eliminate the entire photo quality system and split the Media tab into multiple sections. This will reward players for varying evidence types they capture.

Photographs are in the first two pages while the Video Camera evidence is in the next two pages. Plus, the Video Camera is another new feature that accepts video as part of evidence types. Moreover, they are expecting “The Chronicle Update” to add new ghost types or enhance existing ones, accommodating Sound Recorder.

Map Updates: Reworks and New Locations

The Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap reveals several overhauls of maps to improve the gameplay experience. They revealed the Bleasdale Farmhouse is in the works for its March release. Redesigning the farmhouse helps it to stand apart from other similar maps with newer layouts. Players can expect more areas to explore along with Ghost rooms and garden area additions.

So far, the developer previews unveil some of the features in Bleasdale Farmhouse rework such as:

  • A larger, fancy Dining Room with a long table and plenty of interactive items
  • A cozy Living Room with a fireplace, piano, and glass door leading to the garden
  • An elegant Tea Room with plates featuring pets of the development team and Phasmophobia creators
  • A Trophy Room filled with rare collectible items in cabinets and display cases

Meanwhile, in later 2025, they’ll be redesigning Grafton Farmhouse to appear even more run-down. Developers also revealed to be working on this design since September 2024 which will include outdoor space with chicken coop. Moreover, they’ve added a seamstress workshop with mannequins, debris, and fabric to give an eerie feeling.

Based on the Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap, the 6 Tanglewood Drive map also receives rework. However, they are yet to unveil details about the release date and new features in this rework. So far, they only assured that all map redesigns will receive a “total artistic enhancement for each map, including new animations and assets.” Along with this, they’ll be improving the visual detail to make the layout changes even better.

Other than the reworks, they reveal to launch a new small map this year. Like other designs, the details are still in secret but expect it to be completely unique from existing maps. Kinetic Games also mentioned creating small maps for frequent releases, abandoning the large-scale maps.

Player Character Overhaul and Customization

Further, players will also receive character overhaul according to Phasmophobia 2025 roadmap. They’ll be refining all the characters by adding detailed textures and animations for a better player experience. This will be a completely refreshing gameplay change for many.

Yet, the awaited character customization will take another year before seeing the light in the game. Kinetic Games postponed the release to 2026, making way for their Horror 2.0 update.

Seasonal Events Throughout 2025

So far, Phasmophobia 2025 roadmap events remained consistent with their previous celebrations. It’ll continue the holiday-themed events such as Easter (for April 2025), Halloween (Blood Moon event), and Christmas (Winter’s Jest event).

A new theme will welcome players this April for Easter 2025 to make a distinction from its previous versions. However, Halloween and Christmas events remain the same with minimal changes based on player feedback. So, players can expect better personal rewards and experiences across the maps.

The Future: Horror 2.0 and Beyond

The Phasmophobia 2025 roadmap goes as far as their upcoming 2026 plans. Despite the lack of specifics, Kinetic Games revealed the Horror 2.0 update as the end of the game’s early access phase. From now on, they can expect new ghost events along with ghost models, hallucinations, death rooms, animations, and many more.

More map reworks and character customization are also coming for improved 2026 gameplay. Definitely, Phasmophobia will get better as it moves past the official 1.0 release.

Conclusion

Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap just reveals all the exciting things to look forward to from the game and developers, Kinetic Games. Their broad vision in improving game features will seem to attract more interest from the gaming community. Also, it remains one of the intriguingly unique coop ghost-hunting games in the market.
