Ancient Civilization Cores are one of the most important endgame materials in Palworld 1.0. They’re required to craft AI Cores, which are used in many of the game’s strongest weapons, advanced equipment, and high-tier structures. Since these recipes often consume multiple AI Cores, having a reliable source of Ancient Civilization Cores becomes essential for late-game progression.
Here’s every effective way to farm them, along with the fastest strategy once you’ve reached the World Tree.
Build the Ancient Relic Recycler
The Ancient Relic Recycler is the most efficient way to produce Ancient Civilization Cores after reaching the World Tree.
Unlocked through the Technology Tree, the structure requires the following materials:
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Paloxite Ingots | 50 |
| Mythical Wood | 50 |
| Ancient Civilization Parts | 30 |
| Ancient Civilization Cores | 20 |
Although spending 20 Cores to build the Recycler may seem expensive, it’s a worthwhile investment because it becomes your primary source of additional Cores.
Once placed at your base, simply load the Recycler with Ancient Relics and World Tree Holy Water. Any Pal with Handiwork can operate the machine, converting the materials into Ancient Civilization Cores and other valuable crafting resources.
Farm Ancient Relics in the World Tree
Since the Recycler depends on Ancient Relics, you’ll want to spend plenty of time exploring the World Tree region.
Ancient Relics can be obtained from several activities, including:
- Defeating enemies
- Clearing dungeons
- Opening treasure chests
Regular farming runs through the World Tree provide a steady supply of Relics, allowing you to recycle them into Ancient Civilization Cores back at your base.
If your goal is crafting large numbers of AI Cores, repeatedly farming the World Tree offers the best long-term return.
Send Pals on Expeditions
Players who haven’t unlocked the World Tree yet can still obtain Ancient Civilization Cores through Expeditions.
After unlocking the Astral Frost Cavern Expedition, Cores become part of the potential reward pool. While the drop rate isn’t particularly high, Expeditions are completely passive, making them a reliable background source of resources.
To improve your results:
- Condense your Pals using the Pal Condenser to increase Expedition Firepower.
- Level up additional Pals so you can build stronger expedition teams.
- Keep Expeditions running whenever possible.
Although this method is slower than using the Recycler, it requires very little manual effort.
Defeat Raid Bosses
Raid Bosses are another valuable source of Ancient Civilization Cores.
Higher-level bosses generally offer better chances of dropping rare crafting materials, including Cores. Since Raid Bosses also reward legendary equipment and other exclusive loot, they’re worth farming even if Ancient Civilization Cores aren’t your only objective.
Because Raid Bosses can be summoned repeatedly, experienced players can include them in their regular farming routine.
Clear High-Level Oil Rigs
Oil Rigs become another viable farming location once your character and Pals are strong enough.
Facilities designed for players around Level 55 and above can reward Ancient Civilization Cores alongside several other endgame crafting materials. These encounters are challenging, but they’re an excellent addition to a broader resource farming route.
The Fastest Farming Method
After unlocking the World Tree, the most efficient strategy is to combine multiple activities:
- Farm Ancient Relics throughout the World Tree.
- Collect World Tree Holy Water during your exploration.
- Return to your base and process everything in the Ancient Relic Recycler.
- Repeat the cycle.
This approach provides the fastest and most sustainable supply of Ancient Civilization Cores, making it the best option for players crafting AI Cores, advanced weapons, and other late-game technology in Palworld 1.0.
