A brand-new Abyssal Flame Luna Snow skin is coming in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5, featuring a striking mix of Phoenix Force and Symbiote elements. This fiery-meets-icy design showcases ginger hair, a phoenix tail, symbiote heels, and a half-mask appearance. The skin was teased in the Clintar Throne of Norm map loading screen, confirming it will arrive soon.
The release date is not yet official, but there’s heavy speculation that it will launch around August 29 to coincide with the release of the Scarlet Witch Chaos Phoenix skin. If not, it could arrive the following week alongside the Peni Parker Wasteland Mech skin.
Summer Special Wave 2 Skins Delayed to Season 4
Players waiting for the second wave of the Summer Special beach skins will need to hold on a bit longer. While Human Torch and Punisher swimsuit skins were initially expected for Season 3.5, developer Miller Ross confirmed they’re moving to Season 4 instead.
The new summer-themed skins will likely launch in September via a Wave 2 Mini Pass, similar to the first summer drop. These passes offer multiple cosmetics for less than the cost of a single premium skin, making them a popular choice for players. This update means Season 4 will open with a strong lineup of event cosmetics, offering significant value.
Season 4 Teasers, New Heroes, and Gameplay Leaks
According to Miller Ross, Season 4 teasers are set to arrive in the first week of September, along with the reveal of the next playable hero. Community speculation points to Angela as the headliner hero, due to her connection to Hela and the Eighth City storyline revealed in gallery cards.

Ross teased Angela’s involvement by tweeting a clip from Marvel Mystic Mayhem that shows her character in action. Multiple lore references and early visual updates heavily suggest that Daredevil will arrive early in the season.
Beyond new heroes, leaks suggest upcoming gameplay content, including significant PvE integration and two new potential modes:
-
Time Stream Raid Mode — a large-scale cooperative experience featuring Hydra-inspired environments, dragon eggs with buffs/debuffs, and tentacle-driven hazards.
-
Infinity Crisis Mode — a crystal-based capture-the-flag format, introducing competitive objectives layered with PvE challenges.
Although these modes are still in development, data miners link them to the unreleased hero Hive, hinting they might debut in Season 6 or later.
Ranked Placement Matches and Quality-of-Life Updates
The executive producer Danny Coup recently confirmed ongoing internal discussions around introducing placement matches to ranked mode. These would set initial rankings based on performance instead of forcing every player to climb back up after each seasonal reset, a change widely supported by the community.

Recent cosmetic updates also include:
-
Duo Emotes: The new Emma Frost + Jeff emote works even if only one player owns it, allowing teammates and even opponents to join mid-match.
-
Venom Abyssal Flame Skin: Finally reveals Eddie Brock’s face and introduces his voice for the first time in Marvel Rivals, enhancing Venom’s personality on the battlefield.
With Season 3.5 already live, featuring Blade, Resource Rumble mode, and fresh mini-passes, Marvel Rivals is preparing for its most content-packed update cycle yet as Season 4 approaches.
